What product do i need for Linux RedHat
Hello, i have got a question regarding a cluster scenario. We have a clustered System, with 2 redhat knodes, that are sharing a storage enclosure. I want to backup the knodes and the shared storage within an autoloader. What kind of product do i need to buy? Thank you for any help. Hi We have a VCS of two node. Two file systems are under VCS configured from VXVM. One file system got 100% full. Now we have rebooted the cluster node & the mount points started to show, but after some time that file system got disappear,Checked with concerned DG that also got disabed,we tried to manually import & got succeded. But after starting the volumes we tried to mount the filesystem under the specified mount point. But the below error giving--- # mount /dev/vx/dsk/bgw1dg/vol01 /var/opt/BGw/Server1 mount: /dev/vx/dsk/bgw1dg/vol01 is not this fstype # Kindly suggest what could be the cause. regards...ArupSolved2.2KViews4likes5CommentsBackup up VCS Cluster Config
Can anyone advise on what command or process is involved to backup the VCS configuration of SFW HADR 5.1 onwards. The old command was example : hasnap -backup -f clusterbackup.zip -n -m “Backup from March 25th 2007″ Apparently this is no longer supported on later versions of the software.Solved792Views0likes1CommentSPFILE Autobackup fails after Db moved to SFHA cluster
Last night I migrated my production database to a SFHA cluster made up two Sun T3-1B blade servers. The nodes of the cluster are: st31bbl01 (Sun T3-1B blade 01) and st31bbl02 (Sun T3-1B blade 02). The name of the virtual database server than can fail over between these nodes is st31bora01 (Sun T3-1B oracle 01). Hi all, I am currently installing a 3 node Netbackup 7.1 cluster, on a VSF HA 5.1 SP2 on Windows 2008 R2 (SP1). The installation went fine and failover of the Netbackup resource back and forth shows no problems whatsoever. This weekend however, for no apparent reason, the LanMan Resource failed on the first node and the entire Netbackup resource was failed over to the next available node. In the Eventlog I see: Agent is calling clean for resource(NetBackup_Server-Lanman) because the resource became OFFLINE unexpectedly, on its own. and in the VCS Log: May 22, 2011 5:51:21 AMV-16-2-13067 (SRV0401) Agent is calling clean for resource(NetBackup_Server-Lanman) because the resource became OFFLINE unexpectedly, on its own. V-16-2-13067 (SRV0401) Agent is calling clean for resource(NetBackup_Server-Lanman) because the resource became OFFLINE unexpectedly, on its own. There were no jobs running (Not configured yet) nor was anybody working on the machine when it happened. After the failover, the first node was left in a FAILED state... All Systems are running: Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise, SP1, Fully patched, x64 VSF HA Windows 5.1 SP2, x64 Netbackup 7.1, x64 I've included some logs with this post. Hi All, I would like to give you a brief description of the setup for your understanding. There two site Prodcution and Disaster Recovery. Production site has two Solaris Sparc system and DR site has one Solaris Sparc System. OS: Solaris 10 SF version: 5.0MP3RP3HF2 We have following products that needs to be deployed and integrated together: 1.> Veritas Cluster Server 2.> Veritas Cluster Volume Manager and Cluster File System. 3.> Veritas Volume Replicator for replication of database to the DR site. 4.> Veritas Volume Manager. 5.> We have to cluster the production and DR cluster together ( Global Clustering Option ). 6.> Netbackup I have done the first 5 things earlier but do not have much experience on integrating Netbackup with GCO. If anyone of you have similar configuration then can you please share just the main.cf file of production site as well as DR site just for my reference. In this envrionment I would like Netbackup to come up fine automatically on DR site in the event of production site failure. Appreciate your help in advance.
