Problem description : Backup failed with error code 71 (EXIT STATUS 71: none of the files in the file list exist). The server rebooted automatically on 28 th march and after that the backups are failing. The network drives are Netapp storage Shares and it is mapped to the client COLLECTIONSRV. The drives are accessible from OS using the user “USER1”. The netbackup client service is having the logon credentials of user “USER1”. In the policy the “ Backup Network drive” option is selected. The path is also specified properly. Also tried with the mapped drive letter “Y:\”. But the backups are failing with the same error code. The server has been rebooted manually but still the same issue. Hi, I am hoping for some guidance in the area of Symantec calculating its (Capacity Licensing on FETB- Front End Terabyte) when data is initially deduplicated to disk and then backing up the data to tape after several months. Query: If we create an SLP (Storage Life Cycle policy) that continually dedupe data from the client machine and then backing up the deduped data from disk to tape after x months, what will be the total FETB (Capacity Licensing)? Will the calculation be based onthe initial"FULL" backup of the client or the eventual dedupe amount of data (as the dedupe data over a period of timewhen cutting over to tape)? Hypothetical scenario Client A = 500 GB (Full backup) = Deduped data 50 GB on disk (Total after 3 months) What is the correct calculation when executing nbdeployutil tool? Will the total FETB be 50GB or 500GB? Any information is much appreciated! Thanks!!Solved3.2KViews2likes2CommentsNew enterprise client can't connect to the existing Master Server
Hi Everyone, I have finish installing 1 new enterprise client. The version of installer is 7.5. Current version installed on the existing master is 7.5.0.5. Hi everywone, This subject has been an issue that the idea suggested as a solution for an issue facing with one of our customers. Although this is an amazing solution for our issue, I don't know how to do it. There is an ev_site and there are four EV servers on EV_SITE. Here what I want to learn is exclude 2 server on the site and backup the other 2 servers' index locations. By the way, these 2 servers are used as Building Blocks in Enterprise Vault Server, so that we don't need to backup these servers. Because of that I want to exclude these servers from EV_SITE using Netbackup. My question is how can i do that in Netbackup? This has been a real issue as you understand on the other hand it is an oppurtunity for me to learn how to accomplish this. I had to create a forum discussion because I have nothing according to my research. Is there anyone that knows how to do it?498Views0likes1CommentAuto-assignment of tapes in logical library
Hi, I have been facing a problem with tapes. Most of the times required tapes are already available in the physical libraries, but not assigned to any logical library. At the same time, if i run the inventory on the master server, i can't see the tapes. So each time, I have to confirm with the data center person to know the status of the tapes and then i assign it to logical libraries. Can it be possible, that the moment any tapes get loaded to the library, it will be auto-assigned to the concerned logical library? Please advise.
