Disable AutoFailOver from stopping services
I have several services that I am monitoring that are set to autofailover to a seconds system. It has some up that occasionally I need to restart a service without HA failing over to another system. I can disable the failover from happening using the following command hagrp -modify App_Cluster AutoFailOver 0 However what happens is that if the service is stopped HA continues to shutdown all the other services that are up. I was researching and I cam across disabling the Evacuate on HA, but even with it disabled, it still shuts down the other services. hagrp -modify App_Cluster Evacuate 0 I want the other services to continue to run even if one went down for some reason. What is the best way to accomplish this?Solved1.9KViews3likes4CommentsApplicationHA on LPAR with VCS and SRDF replication agent
Hello, I am evaluating AppllicationHA in my environment which is composed of LPARs in two frames installed in two separate sites. The LPARs are accesing two EMC storage VMAX and there is a replication link using SRDF. We are not able to use Live Partition Mobility between the two PowerSystem Servers because there is not an storage shared betweem them. For this reason we will like to use a VCS management cluster installed in the frames (one node on each PowerSystem Server) and this VCS cluster is using SRDF replication agent. My question is if we configure applicationHA in this VCS management cluster to protect a LPAR, can this LPAR use the VCS with SRDF agent? Doing so, we will solve our limitation and we will be able to relocate the LPAR to the other frame automatically. Running a three node cluster on HPUX, 11.31. We have the vxconfigd daemon running, but something i see is that the daemon on one server uses about 20-50% CPU util, on another server about the same, and then on the third server of the cluster very little at any given moment. Anyone have any ideas as to why this might be the case? it doesn't really bother me, but the DBA's get all concerned about it. Any info would be appreciated. thanks2.2KViews1like1Comment
