Enterprise vault for Distributed exchange environment
What is the best bractice for implementing EV in such below environment. I have two main datacenters and one disaster recovery datacenter. One of those MS exchange server is located in main datacenter as two mailboxes databases with DAG and two CAS/HUB with network load balancing (NLB). The other MS exchange server is located in another building as one server with all roles and a second server with mailbox role without DAG and NLB between servers.Solved685Views3likes4Comments
Archives and Merge Data
Hello to all, I have the next question. The scneario is that there was archived some Volumes. For each volume: - the volume had a policy and a archive - There was archive folders in this volumen with different archive associated to it. The folders had "Everyone" permission. - The volume and the folders was deleted from the after months archiving - the users can see the diferent archives using "archive explorer" The problem is now the customer wants to: - Change de Fileserver to another server - The possibility to re-organize all the data. I know that there is not possible to merge differente archives points in one. And my problem is: - The first idea is restore all the info to the original location, to move to the new FileServer and archive it after. But when it try to do it, FSAUtility says that the \\oLDVOLUME\OLDFolder its not a valid volume - In the other hand, i think that i will not haver sufficent space in the actual FileServer to restore all the info. How to manage the Enterprise Vault data content when it grows big and you are running out of disk space ?
Hi People, Can anyone suggest to me what is the best way to manage and sustain the Enterprise Vault data that grow bigger and larger every month ? My situation is that whenever my Exchange Server 2007 database drive is running low of disk space, I'd go to lower down the EV archive items from 6 months into 5 months and now down to 3 months just to create some room to breathe in the Exchange Server mailbox. I understand that this is not resolving the problem in the best way as it should since we just shifting away the disk space usage from Exchange into the Enterprise Vault. However what are my options to manage and sustain the growing data in the EV ? Can i offload to tape for the Vault data disk and then deleting it manually, what happens with the indexing and search when the data is archived to tape and I want to retrieve it later for some reason ? After PST Migration Completed End User Can't Open Outlook
Enterprise Vault 11.0.1 CHF1, On Windows 2008 R2, Exhange 2013 CU8, End user uses outlook 2013. After PST migration completed when end user trys to open his outlook he faces with error which PST Outlook data file can not be found. By manuelly I can remove PST file which is migrated and solve this issue. But this is "Server driven pst migration" method and more than thousand end users. Hi all, In migrating the EV9 setting to the new EV 10 server, can I just disconnect and -re-attach the drive for all EV VaultStore (Closed & Open) as well as the index to the new EV 10 server ? after that I can just run the EV Migration tool in the new EV10 server. The reason is that I do not have the extra free disk space in the storage array to commision/create 1:1 drive letters to manually copy the Index and VaultStore partitions for the new EV10 . Hello to all I've this scenario: The people is accessing to webmail at https://webmail.domain.com ==> Here the server is an EDGE this EDGE forward the connection to a CAS (only CAS Role) and the CAS to the Mailbox (Clustered Mailbox) the users cand access to their archived Items, and can do all the actions (restore, find, etc).
