In CASO small environment, create jobs on CASO or MMS?
Running 12.5 for ever with two standalone servers (local/DR) .. finally moving on to 2015 (2003 servers in mix). Setup: Local site w/ BE2015 and tape library (making MMS but questions) DR site (small pipe to/from DR) with CASO server setup there and tape library. Issue it this.. All my servers backup jobs run from local site then taking them out to DR site for "restore of data" (Big SQL DB's) but by way of inventory and catalogging them. (hours) .. this why going to CASO in 2015 envriroment. Should I choose Locally manage backup server MMS option and create the jobs there? It's states "The catalogs are in distributed mode by default" .. Does this mean the CASO will understand them when I pop the tapes in at the DR site. Just trying to set up the CASO/MMS correct the first time. Thanks in Advance ... Just found this but any advice for setup would be appreaciated since I will be running some Hyper V situations..
