MSDP catalog backup drcontrol command doesn't work
I tried to configure a new policy for msdp catalog with the drcontrol command from the media server. But it does not give any response and cannot see the policy created from the java console as well. Command : /usr/openv/pdde/pdcr/bin/drcontrol --new_policy --residence BasicDisk01 --policy CDC_MSDP_Catalog_Backup

Catalog Backup Stuck (NBU 8.1)
Hello everyone, I have a problem, when running a child catalog backup which is already running at 3600384 Kb and after that too long to run and finally makes no progress. no error from the catalog backup, i have restart the service, canceled and run again backup catalog but the problem is still occured. my master server details: Master server NetBackup Version : Netbackup 8.1 Master server OS : Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.9

Netbackup Catalog Backup - Where to Store
We currently have Netbackup 8.2 Environment with 1 Master (W2k16 / Virtual Machine (VMWare) + 2 Media Servers (W2k16, Physicals) & Data Domain as primary disk storage target via OST. We have our Catalog backup policy configured to store via UNC Path on one of the Media Servers (Weekly Full + Daily Diffs w/a 2 Week Retention). We recently suffered a hardware failure on the physical media server that was storing the Catalog Backup. I'm thinking this is an opportunity for improvement of where to store catalog backup it for easy retrieval/recovery when needed. One thought I had was to add a new VMDK to master server since it's a VM that way the VMDK can be easily attached to any machine and accessed in the event of a failure and not be prone to another hardware issue on the media server plus the disk can be easily grown to accommodate catalog growth. Thoughts? What are others doing? Thanks in advance.

catalog backup policy does not work
Hi , Recently I found issue on my Netbackup cataloge backup policy , it takes too long to run and finally makes no progress . here are the related settings if you want to know : max job per client is : 10 1 tape library with 15 drives ( so I have 15 STUs ) all "policies storage" option are set to " any available " . ( I have 20 policies )
