Upgrading Windows NetBackup clients remotely from Linux Master
I’ve been searching but I haven’t quite found what I am looking for. I am attempting to upgrade a Windows NetBackup client from a Linux NetBackup Master (test server). When I r-click on the client in the Master GUI and try a ‘Precheck’ I get, “Deployment jobs fail if packages are not added in the repository.” This sent me down the rabbit hole trying to find the correct 8.1.2 Windows installer and steps to add that to the repository. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks, MarkSolved4.1KViews0likes3CommentsGetting residence using the device name/hostname.
Hi, I have access to the NetBackup CLI. I'm trying to determine the residence of a client using it's device name test.web.example.com. My aim is to find out the server on which that client exists and then remove it. Or if it is possible to remove that client using the master server itself.1.4KViews0likes4Commentshow to install netbackup client 7.7.1 on windows 2008 R2 without java
Is there a way to install the netbackup client on a windows 2008R2 server, without java? the purpose is: this is an application server that allready uses java, when the default windows client is installed, the application doesn't behave normal anymore. we allready figured out that this is related to the java-stuff that is installed with the netbackup client. we want to install the agent, so backups can be performed, but there is no need to have any nbu-gui running on this server, so I don't think java is necessary. How can I install the client without the java-stuff?1KViews0likes1Comment
