Hello all, I am struggling with an issue with EV-client on Citrix. The Citrix setup is not completely known to me, but additional information I can get my hands on. The citrix server is W2008R2, the applications are published. What is published is only Office (2010, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook), and Adobe Reader. Not Internet Explorer, IE is installed on the system. The EV-client is 9.0.3.1221 The plug-in is installed properly. When opening an archived item, I get prompted for a username and password. When entering, the item is opened fine. The problem I have I need a solution for is that if in the Enterprise Vault tab I click on Archive Explorer or the Search Vaults button, I get a blank page. When I create in the inbox a folder, and set the homepage for that folder to the Archive Explorer ui, I get the archive explorer, same for the search-page. REMOVED FOR SECURITY REASON Attached a client-logfile.REMOVED FOR SECURITY REASON The Citrix Admin has entered the aliasses and hostnames in the trusted sites on the citrix-server for the users. Does anyone have an idea what can be done/checked/tried to get the Archive Explorer and Search Safe page working. The password prompt we will work on later. Throttling Policy - User does not contain a user with a mailbox error
[PS] C:\>.\SetEVThrottlingPolicy. ps1 -user domain\evsvc Successfully connected to[Exchange Server] Using Domain Controller: DC1.domain.com Invalid parameter value: -User does not contain a user with a mailbox. Please pass in a valid username. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We can open the mailbox correctly. SetEvPermissions script rund correctly, Add-AddPermissions also runs correctly. Only Throttling fails with this error. The user name "evsvc" is also the alias & the mailbox name, so no chance we are wrong regarding username. Running this on evsvc01 & evsvc02 (system mqilboxes for exchange 2010) - same error on Throttling policy, no errors on the rest of the scripts. Installing EV Domino Gateway (EVDG) on an existing EV server
Hello, Has anyone ever configured an EV Domino Gateway on a server that is already running Enterprise Vault? To clarify the situation: I have existing EV solution for FSA and Exchange mailbox/journal archiving I now want to add Domino mailbox and journal archiving to the existing EV environment I want to configure one of the existing EV servers as the EV Domino Gateway The Symantec documentation states the following: "On the computer that will host the Enterprise Vault Domino Gateway, do the following: Install Domino server binaries and configure the Domino server Install Lotus Notes client binaries and hotfix, and configure the client. Use the ID file that you want to use for Domino archiving. After you have completed these tasks, you can install Enterprise Vault and perform the initial configuration." I would like to avoid adding an additional server just for the EVDG or performing a re-install of one of the existing EV servers. The plan! how to not archive RSS Feed
Hello, I need you help, for storage place reasons we decided to exclude the rss feed from the archiving. Unfortunately the message class of the feeds is ipm.post.rss and I don't know how to exclude it from the archiving. I know how to add a new class but not how to specify that one shouldn't't be archived. Could any one of you help me on that one. We are using EV 8.0 SP4 for Microsoft exchange. Unable to open shortcuts when moved/copied to shared mailbox or public folder
Ineed a solution to prevent users to move or copy EV shortcuts to shared mailboxes or public folders. Since the Enterprise Vault archive task updates only moved/copied items within the own archive, we see often permission problems, when users try to open shortcuts in shared mailboxes. The cause of this is always the same: moved or copied shortcuts from an users mailbox. It is not easy to identify whether the shortcuts are ok, or not, or to which archive they belong, and Enterprise Vault does not handle the “bad” shortcuts as orphaned ones. Several technotes says: you have to train the users to prevent this situation. But since it is a very common way to share information by moving or copying mail items between mailboxes, the users are doing this as well with shortcuts. Why is Enterprise Vaultnot able to handle this correctly? So we need at least a solution, which allows users to move or copy shortcuts withintheir own mailboxes, but not to shared mailboxes or public folders.How can we achive this? We are using V9.0.2 and Outlook 2010 and plan to upgrade to V11; does V11 still have the same behavior?Solved1.7KViews0likes5Comments

Hi, I need to migrate a Enterprise Vault 11 server running on a Windows 2008 R2 server to a Windows 2012 R2 server. Actually we are doing only Exchnage Journal Archiving. What is the best procedure to afford this ??? Actually we don't have Symantec Backup solutions, but i suppose that it could be done with different backup solutions.
