Have setup a NAS array, (Data Robotics 8TB), and backup to disk folders on that NAS. BE 2010 is using the array fine for backing up devices on the network. DLO on the other hand does not see the NAS array at all, either directly or as a created mapped drive or shared drive. I can only choose locally attached drives on the server as location for DLO user folders. Is this a limitation of DLO? I am using BE 2010 and BE 12.5d on another server and neither will let me chose the NAS as a location to store the DLO user folders. This question is continued from another discussion that has been locked: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/cannot-delete-user-dlo-console-stuck-delete-pending-state Hey Dev T, (or anyone) I was wondering if I could pick your brain further. I have a server name and storage location stuck in DLO. It cannot be deleted because we got rid of the server and the domain it was in. We forgot that we had a share location in DLO on that server. So we didn't delete things in the correct order I suppose. Now, when I right click on that storage location and hit delete, it dosen't do anything. and I can't delete the server until that storage location is gone. Is there a way to manually delete that storage location using the osql command? Thanks for your time,Solved1.7KViews0likes3CommentsDLO client getting disabled in Windows 7 System.

I could not find anyone else with this problem, but I suspect it is a bug in the install since I installed clean (and tried repairing), so I suspect others may run into it. Since it was not easy to solve, I thought I would post this. Symptoms: Backup Exec 2010 (first edition) running on 64-bit Server 2003 and 64-bit SQL 2008, when opening the "Desktop and Laptop Option" from the BE Tools menu, it asks you for a password, which you enter and then you get the following error, and the application closes when you hit OK. ERROR MESSAGE (also in the event viewer with an ID of 17750): "Could not load the DLL C:\Program Files\Symantec\DLO\XPDLOShareu.dll, or one of the DLLs it references. Reason: 193(C:\Program Files\Symantec\DLO\XPDLOShareu.dll is not a valid Win32 application.)." You will also find that C:\Program Files\Symantec\DLO \XPDLOShareu.dll is 2,138 KB. That is the 32-bit version of the dll. If you have other versions of Backup Exec, I would suspect that the size is similar, and still much smaller than the 64-bit version. The solution is to go to the install media here: \BE\WinNT\Install\BE32\Install\Media\DLOServe.cab and extract this file by right clicking on it: XPDLOShareu.dll_64.FBF6AB5B_373C_4CD4_B277_E08D4D444E2C Rename C:\Program Files\Symantec\DLO \XPDLOShareu.dll to XPDLOShareu.OLD and copy your extracted file to the C:\Program Files\Symantec\DLO directory and rename it XPDLOShareu.dll (note that you drop the _64). It should now work and open fine. I also suspect that this may solve other problems related to 64-bit installations and XPDLOShareu.dll.Solved1.3KViews0likes3CommentsBE2014 V-Ray complains about DLO_BE ms sql database in BKUPEXEC
I have BE2104 V-Ray lisence. BE2014 is installed in virtual server.... and yes, I know this is not recommeded by Symantec, but I anyway have this kind of setup. I keep getting following error message when I do backup of server with MS SQL database: "Backup- <server>.<domain>.local\BKUPEXEC V-79-40960-37912 - Database BE_DLO is offline, loading, or in the standby state. Only online databases can be backed up." BE_DLO is located inside BKUPEXEC instance which is up and running. I do not have DLO option installed on server anymore (= in Programs and features). I have had DLO7.5 installed earlier, but it has been removed and is not there anymore. I guess BE_DLO is there because I have earlier had BE2010 which has then been upgraded to BE2010R3 and finally to BE2014. How can I get rid of this "BE_DLO" ?Solved1.3KViews1like3CommentsDelete all DLO Revisions
Hi, We're using Netbackup DLO 6.1 MP4 (same as BackupExec DLO). We've found that the file revisions are taking up a lot of space on the storage servers, so want to put an expiry on all revisions on the network data store. The DLO manual states the following under 'Backup Selection Revision Control': Enter the number of days after which all revisions in the network user data folder will be deleted. Note The most recent revision will not be discarded. Is anybody able to advise on the note in bold? Does this mean that we're not able to remove the last revision, regardless of whether it is older than our revision expiry limit? If so, is there a way of getting rid of these revisions? Cheers AndySolved1.3KViews0likes9Comments
