crcontrol command details
Hello All. We have a backup solution based on two W2008R2 servers running NetBackup 7.0.1 with MSDP feature. We have a critical mistake in build (wrong drive used for MSDP DB) and we are looking the way to sort it out. Symantec support denied us. crcontrol command has three keys that could help us to backup this DB, reconfigure CR and restore DB to correct drive. But there is no info in --help about those keys (PSB). Checked deduplication/NetBackup commands manuals - no luck. Could somebody provide a manual which describes those keys? Thank you in advance. Hello all, This is my first post ever to a forum and I believe it's a bit of a problem. I work for a small IT Support firm. We have a customer that has a few C&C machines that run from the blueprints and software off of Window 7 machines. We were notified by manufacture of the machines there is a voltage flux in the machines that are prone to destorying the PCs connected to the machine. Our customer would like us to take an image of the computers and be able to reinstall the images taken on new hardware, computers that have different hardware configurations, all without losing any information, programs and computer OS. I'm looking for ideas on how this can be done. I've read it can be done, just not sure how to approach the problem, so I'm looking for some ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Solved3.4KViews0likes1CommentNetBackup Catalog Replication using RealTime None-Clustered Master.
I have looked over the document "NetBackup Catalog Replication with RealTime" which was written based on a SUN and clustered master. Has anyone seen or know a cookbook on "NetBackup Catalog Replication on a none-clustered Windows Master to a None-Clustered Windows Master at a DR site. I was thinking you could use a similar procedure stripping out the clustering steps.2.5KViews0likes2Commentscan I use "Netbackup Pure Disk Storage" as a deduplication target for Backup Exec?

Hello everybody!! Do you know what is exactly the difference between MSDO and PDDO? I read that in the future PureDisk won't be supported by Symantec and some articles about how to migrate PDDO to MSDO... I have this doubt because I was working with a PureDisk environment but some TSE call servers MSDP Server.... so I'm confused... do you have any idea?Solved1.5KViews1like3Comments
