Hey Guys: I am trying to find a way for Enterprise Vault to suck in a PST file that I exported from a Barracuda Message Archiver. The PST file will have emails from multiple To: addresses. As far as I can see, the server side PST migration tool just uses permissions set on the PST file to assign the archive. Ideally, I would just want to point to the PST file and off it goes, putting the individual emails into their respective archives. Please let me know if this is doable or if I am looking at exporting the emails with the same To: fields. Hello, I'm having a bit of a time trying to get archives moved from an older deployment of EV to our newer deployment. I've already checked with the company that produces Archive Shuttle and was told that would probably be overkill for our environment. So now I'm looking into using the EV Archive Move feature, which according to my research should work between versions 8, 9, 10. Problem I'm having is that our EV 8 version pre-dates SP4 which is apparently when the Archive Move feature was implemented and so far I haven't been able to track down a download of SP4. I was able to go back through some of my records and found our serial number for version 9.05, so I downloaded that, got everything prepped and when I went through the deployment scanner, much to my chagrin, I was informed that 9.05 will only run on server 2008 R2 64 bit and higher (our EV 8 server is running a 32 bit version of 2003). So I guess I'm trying to find out what my options are. We only have about 40 mailboxes on the version 8 server, that totals out to about 50GB so I feel like it should be a pretty simple process once I can get everything lined up. Do I need to keep working on obtaining EV 8 SP4 (is it even compatible for 32 bit server OS?) or should I look into upgrading the windows version of our current EV 8 system? The latter option sounds a bit more intimidating since I would be going from a 32 bit OS to a 64, with the enterprise vault system in place. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Solved1.5KViews0likes8CommentsMigrate EV File System Archiver stubs and content to new server?
Hi We are using Symantec File System Archiver (Enterprise Vault) on a Windows server. We would like to migrate all of the stubs from server A to server B. Is there any documentation around that we can follow? We also need to determine if all of the files on server A are stubs or a mixture of physical files and some stubs - can this be done? Would we need to rehydrate all files then copy the physical files and then archive once at the destination? I assume we would need to install the FSA agent/client on the destination server also? Hi There, I am trying to delete a folder no longer required on a shared data location. The folder location is on a NetApp Filer CFIS share. FSA has been disabled for this location but it has left some files with a Grey X on the icon. We have also suffered from some data loss in the backup Archives which means the original file is no longer available to be restored. I have tried using both my Admin account and the EV Service account from both a File Services Admin Windows Server as well as the EV Archive server\r, but both accounts return an access denied eroor when trying to delete the file. Any advise would be great. Thanks for your time.1.2KViews0likes5CommentsWhat happen if i remove all the users from the provisioning group?

Hi The environment is Exchange 2010 SP3 + EV 10.0.4. Is it possible to trigger a script before we disable a mailbox during the separation process to archive all the mails to Enterprise Vault? This would be very helpful for our operations Team. They frequently serve the requests from business to provide access to separated staffs mails for business continuity. In this case, they provide access to the separted staff archives. However there are some mails (those are not eligible for archive as per policy) might be stored in the mailbox and was disabled during the separation process. or any other better ideas to handle in such situtation?
