It is set to manual in the services of my virtual machine (windowsserver 2008 R2) ? How to backup Exchange 2010 DAG steps
Dears, I have a Backup exec 3600 appliance (Not software) I want to backup exchange server? What are the steps; because I did a normal backup (installed exchange agent into the primary server and specify the SQL database), but it still can find the logs of the Database isn't supposed to remove the logs with the backup? Please help me taking the backup in the right way (step by step as I donot have much experiance in Symantec Backup), also know that Ii am using Appliance I have no access to the appliance server (Symantec does not recommended it). Is it possible to Configure Backup Exec 2012 Appliance 3600 as a OpenStorage?
Hi guys! I need your help. I have here 2 Backup Exec 2012 servers: -BE1 - (Appliance 3600) -BE2 - Windows 2008 Stardard R2 I performed two Test Scenarios: TEST1 Scenario: Configure BE2 as an OpenStorage from BE1 (Appliance) RESULT: BE2 successfully configured as OpenStorage TEST2 Scenario: Configure BE1 (Appliance) as an OpenStorage from BE2 RESULT: Unable to create a OpenStorage with this message "Unable to connect to the Openstorage device. Ensure that the network is properly configured between the device and the Backup Exec server" I am very sure that both servers are connected. Hello We are using BE3600.2 and what we have observed that once we enable the RDP session using powershell it allows us RDP into it. But even after rebooting the appliance device the RDP is still working. We need to know how to disable that so that it only gets activated when we supply powershell scripts. We tried to run the C:\Program Files\Symantec\BEAppliance\BEApplianceshell\DisableRemoteDesktop.exe but no luck. Thank youSolved847Views0likes3Comments
Backupexec 3600 and Vmware Workstation
Hello Everyone, I've searched everywhere and can't find an answer to my questions about the BE3600. Does anybody know: 1) Will the appliance backup VMware Player, Workstation and MS Virtual PC 2007 VMs that sit on top of Windows 2003/2008 Servers? 2) Can we restore a physical server to a VM ON the appliance itself or do we need a standby server to do this? We do not have any ESXi hosts, we only use VMWare Workstation, VMWare Player and VirtualPC 2007 so that would be our only option available to restore to at this point in time. *I realize these aren't the best virtual platforms to restore to, but these are non-critical systems running in the VMs but we still want to be able to protect and restore them. 3) If a failed physical server is restored to a VM and we rebuild or replace hardware in the failed physical server, can we then restore the data contained in the VM back to the physical machine once it's brought back up? BE 3600 R2 Appliance IE
HI All, I have a BE 3600 appliance installed at a customer site. I configure it, using domain admin account created for backup exec. The moment I add the appliance to the domain using the domain admin account, I can no longer log into the Internet Explorer with the aplliance administrator account that I configured. I can also not log into the IE with the account I used to add it onto the domain. In fact I cannot log into it with any account. tried the domain admin account as well. I have raised this with some support engineers personally and received no solution for this. I have configured 5 different appliances and all the same issue? the only way to fix, powershell > reset password. Any help/solution?514Views0likes3Comments
