Please see Methods to provide data for Technical Support cases (KMdoc 000097935) for more details about how to send files to technical support cases. These methods have changed in the last year or so. Direct file transfer to an existing case via the My.Veritas web portal using existing Veritas Account credentials. Direct file transfer using a file transfer website ( https://mft.veritas.com ) Direct file transfer using SecureFTP (sftp://sftp.veritas.com). File transfer during an active Webex support session FTPtransfer to a designated folder using credentials provided by Technical Support. Other product specific methods are also available. When a case is opened on the my.Veritas.com web portal files can be directly uploaded by the case contact using https. Other methods require the agent to send an "Evidence Request" from the case or provide extra details prior to use. Please note that the plain ftp upload service is now only available on ftp.veritas.com, is subject to acceptance of a legal disclaimer statement, and should not be used when the https or sftp service could be used. See "How to use ftp.veritas.com to provide files to Veritas - March 2016 onward" (KMDoc000106883) for details and limitation of the ftp service. Email attachments over 5MB sent to Veritas support will be rejected at the service gateway. File can be collected from support using the https & sftp services described above.3.1KViews4likes2CommentsHow to Convert Outlook to Lotus Notes

Hi I have created ghost images for different Dell laptop sometime ago. Because windows updates are always constant, i was hoping that i can do the windows updates to the image itself instead of creating an entire image again. I saw this article saying that the only solution is to create the entire image again with the newest windows update. The following is the link to the article i read (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH13158) I hope i can get a more effiecient solution to the issue i am facing. Thank you3.2KViews3likes7Commentsfastantimalwarescanner.com
I've been hit by a malicious malware (fake or not - it's in my registry looking right back at me!) called fastantimalwarescanner.com. I don't know what the source was. It's infectedmy registry on 2 laptops. You can readabout what it does from what others have written in theForumhttp://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/xp-police-antivirus-what-it-and-how-heck-did-it-get-nortons By that Forum discussion, this is a weeks old problem and it has been completely ignored by Symantic - for some reason (economy? cutbacks? what?). This is a Symantic problem, because the malware even has pop-ups that use both Norton 360 trademarks and Microsoft Explorer trademarks. (Symantic, doesn't that offend you?You should beall over this, defending yourself and your customers!) What I don't get, is the only way to get rid of this is to buy somebody else's product to repair an attack on Symantic customers!!!! Wow - Norton!!!!!!! This isn't right!! Fix This!!!! Weird also is the fact that Ifound the above discussion thread by Googling fastantimalwarescanner.com- butSymantic does not let you find the discussion anywhere in its forums, not even by typng it in "All Contents". You can't find it I had to cut and paste it off mybrowser address to post the discussion here. Like they censored it. So, there it is. I don;t have to repaet what this does. Sadly, I even called Symantic tech support yesterday to ask how to fix it, and the employee didn't know anything about it. She couldn't find the name fastantimalwarescanner.com anywhere. All she could do was repeat all my words back to me. It's was surreal. Pretty soon, I interupted her and said, "You must have been trained that when you don't have a solution for a customer, just keep repeating back what the customer says". In hynotherapy training they call that rapport. It's supposed to make the client feel you are"connected". Her only solution offered was pay Norton $90 to clean my registry files by hand. I told her Ihad already paid for protection and repairs when Ibought their product. I asked her how this was going to protect me from it happening again, when Norton 360 should be screening a weeks-old problem!! She didn't really care just repeated my wordsback, "You said (my sentence)". Itold her that if she repeatedback what I said one more time without offering me a solution, I was going to hang up. She repeated what Isaid and I said "good-bye". Norton, can you tell me if I should be feeling really"gyped"right now? I have tobuy another company's product to remove a malware that attacks Norton 360 systems??? I hopeyou have the courage to reply.614Views3likes2Comments
