Unable Access Second Partition After Formatting Primary Partition
I recently had fully encrypted hard disk (Toshiba mq01abd075), operating system (Windows 7 Professional), two partition. C (146 GB) and D (548 GB) and 4 GB Unallocated space. I ran the system restore for partition C, after which I was unable to access the operating system. I reinstalled the operating system partition C. I installed PGP WDE, when I entered in the program, partition D does not appear to be decrypted. Partition D appears in My Computer (0 bytes), in computer management at disk management appear 548 GB RAW. If I double click on it ask me for Format, but i've never click Yes, so the second partition was never touch after the problem.After this I reinstalled twice the OS. Now I have windows 8.1 but stil,but still I have not touch the second partition. I've tried to decrypt the drive with a few tutorials such as(WinPE and put the hard disk as second partition): http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH170574 http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH149478 Give me various errors suchs as: "Could not locate valid BGFS record. Recovey failed! Operation recover disk failed: Error code -11984 item not found" or "Disk 1 is not instrumented by bootguard" and others. I know was my fault. Please give me a solution. Backup job rate is very bad
Hi, I'm using tandberg LTO4 tapes with LTO4 T40 plus Tandberg backup device. Backup using Symantec backup exec 12. The backup job rate is around 400 mb/min eg:To write900 GB data using LTO4 device to LTO4 tapes have taken 32 hrs. Server: DELL Poweredge 2950 and latest drivers are updated. HBA Card: Emulex FC-HBA 2/4 GBits/sec- Latest Drivers are installede HOWTORESOLVETHIS?
Restore computer from recovery point
When backing up a complete drive, when Icreate a base with several incremental recovery points, if Ineed to restore, I just want to confirm that I do NOT have to restore the base first then a sequential restore using the incrementals in chronological order. I just select the recovery point Iwant to restore from - even thou that recovery point may be a fraction of the size of the base - and that recovery point will restore my drive back to full at the time of that recovery point? Is this correct? So the incremental points must be linked to the base. Thanks Gi
backup exec 12.5 connection with server failed. Hit F5 to retry error
I am having this problem on a Windows 2008 std x64 server. The software will install fine on a different server. I had a coworker install on this server with the same error. I have checked these items: Authenticate as any user and gain access to resources under any user identity OR "Act as a part of Operating System" Create a token object, which can then be used to access any local resources Log on as a service Administrative rights (provides complete and unrestricted rights to the computer) Backup operator rights (by default includes Logon Locally, Back up Files and Directories, Restore Files and Directories, etc. Refer to Microsoft Documentation for a listing of all rights that the Backup Operator Group has by default.) Manage auditing and security log Any suggestions?
