SSR 2013 Password Protection
I have been evaluating a trial version and have created some password protected and encrypted backups. If I double-click one of the .v2i files, I'm prompted to enter the password (as expected). However, if I double-click the .sv21 file, the SSR 2013 Granular Restore Option window opens and I am able to recover the password protected and encrypted files WITHOUT being prompted for a password!!! This is VERY disturbing! Can someone explain this? AlanError encountered while attempting to prepare the Message Store
I'm getting this error trying Granular Restore Option for mailboxes from Exchange 2007 SP3 on Windows 2008R2 server. Backups don't indicate any errors, logs are truncated etc.and I can see all the files/folders in the Recovery Point Browser. I've found some articles with this same error on BESR 2010 or SSR 2011 but I'm using Symantec System Recovery 2013 SP1. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
SSR 2013 und GRO SharePoint 2010 Foundation
Hallo, warum unterstützt die SSR 2013 GRO die SharePoint 2010 Foundation Option nicht mehr? bei der ver. BESR 8.5 war noch alles in Ordnung, man konnte jede kleinste Datei wiederherstellen und was ist jetzt ab SSR 2011 ist nicht mehr vorhanden das finde ich nicht in Ordnung und schlimmste ist dass man keine Antwort bekommt Ich habe mit Support kontakt aufgenommen (das hat 14 Tage hin und her gedauert) die Techniker aus Indien und USA wussten überhaupt nicht was dieser Fehler bedeuten. Nach 4 Wochen habe Antwort bekommen dass das überhaupt nicht funktioniert, weil die Funktion für SharePoint 2010 Foundation wird nicht mehr unterstützt. Hilfe bei Lösung dieses Problems habe ich keine bekommen. Vieleicht hat jemand eine Idee wie ich das lösen kann. DANKE im Voraus
Granular Recovery never finishes loading
I use SSR 2011 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 I backup data to a 2 TB USB drive. I had a need to perform a granular recovery recently and found that the loading of the recovery file seemed to stall. The system displayed a message Loading Recovery file for many hours, 12 + I pulled the drive off and loaded it on a Windows 7 workstation and observed the same behavior. The image I am trying to load is about 150 GB. How do I get this featuure to work properly?
DLO 7.0 and SSR 2011 Desktop
Hi, Need help on DLO 7.0 and SSR 2011 Desktop Can both of this Application co-exist in same server? is it possible to manage both from single management console or in other words is SSR/DLO integration possible....like DLO was with Backup Exec? Pls. correct if i am missing/wrong, As far I understood DLO and SSR both supports disk based backup only... differrence is DLO is used for garnular file/directory level backup and management from console. SSR used for complete system backup image level (baremetal). file level backup option is available in SSR but managing backedup file/folder is not possible..? Thanks in advance for your response.
SRS 2010 - Run Granular Restore Option
Small Business Server 2007, 64-bit, Exchange 2007 Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery 2010 Small Business Server Edition v 9.0.4.42294 The SRS software appeared to have been running the base images and incrementals sucessfully. Running the Granular Restore Option on the Server that is being backed up, select "use latest recovery point", results in "No recovery points exist for the current computer".. Use alternative system index, browse, locate the .sv2i file, click Open, click Ok, and the following error appears; Result (0xe98f0004 20 RPAM_ERR_INIT_FAILED Args [0];) I have verified the recover points, I can load and mount with the recovery point browser but cannot get the Granular Restore to work at all. I need to restore a folder from within a users mailbox, which in theory, SRS should be able to do, but doesn't seem to in this case.. Any suggestions?Can't restore mailbox after moving informaton store from c to d drive
I am running Backup Exec System Recovery 8.5 on SBS 2008 server. I could restore mailbox by using Granular Restore without any problem when my information store was on the C drive. I moved the information store to D drive two months ago. Now the Granular Restore cannot find the information store when I try to restore a mailbox. I used to have two separate backup jobs for the c and d drives. Any suggestions to resolve the problem? How can I reconfigure the backup job to include the information store on the D drive if needed? Thank you.
