I'm working with Discovery Accelerator at the moment and I'm wondering what the story is with the search functionality within a case You create a case and you do your search/ searches. Now as far as I can tell the only means of review to see if your search results are right is the number of records returned? that's why the underlined statement below in the DAhelp confuses the hell out of me. The only way Ican look at the results is by accepting them for review, Once Ihave done that I can't modify the search if it wasn't right. Because Ican't then remove an incorrectsearch I have to delete the case and start again. I have to say it seems to me to be one of the most unintuative features of the whole system and I'm a lead infrastructure analyst who putEV and a SANin, what the hell happens when Iunleash this on the users?!?!?!? They are going to go nuts!! Can someoneconfirmifthis isthe correct understanding of how it should operate, it's doing my head in!! Hi Environment is EV 9.0.2 We currently restart the following EV services nightly: Enterprise Vault Task Controller Service Enterprise Vault Storage Service Enterprise Vault Shopping Service We do this for historical reasons as we did it in our older EV8 environment, I believe it was to clear up MAPI sessions andkeep the system running more smoothly. Is this still necessary? Does restart these EV services impact DA searches and exports? What's the impact? Does restarting the DA Accelerator service impact DA searches and exports? Hello, I have a situation where legal needs anexport of all emails sent between two parties. They do not need the actual content, just the To &From fields and maybe the Subject. Is there a way to do that in DA? I tried searching with the browser search in EV, but I could not find a way to just export the metadata, only the content. They are using EV for journaling only, not mailbox archiving. Is there a way do this from EV (Like maybe just export form the index)? Hi guys We recently purchased discovery accelerator and much to my dismay it has become incredibly urgent to have this product up and running within days due to a legal requirement. I have installed and got this up and running with 0 install issues at all, but now when it's time to create a test case, I hit a brick wall, I can't search at all. There is no search options. I feel like i've missed something really silly here in the configuration phase. I've setup a configuration database, a customer database (on a seperate database server to the EV server database) and installed the client. Now when I connect and create a case I see the below. and running through the install and admin guides seem to just say 'click on case then go to the searching tab....' I'm really scratching my head trying to figure what i have missed. However, I'm also in the unfortunate position that I have someone telling me that if it's not working in 24 hours, begin a manual export/search/sort of pst files :S Any help much appreciated. Environment Discovery accelerator 8.0SP3 Enterprise vault 8.0SP3 Win 2k8 Standard x64 sp2 on app and database EV and DA databases are seperate servers. I tried following some documentation but I must be missing something basic. I am trying to search specific archives in my vault using discovery accelerator and export the findings to PST files but cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it.
