EV 7.0 - Password Protected PST files
Hello All We have recently started a massive import across our entire network. All seems to be going well however some PST's are failing to import. Upon trying to import the files manually with the manual import tool, they fail saying the PST files are password protected. We try opening the files in an Outlook client, and indeed they do prompt for a password... However this appears to be something that was not put in place by the end user, and because of this we are now unable to get back into the PST files... This is quite urgent as the users mail have not been imported, and they can no longer access the PST file either! Any ideas? ThanksSolved564Views0likes3Comments

Virtual Vault not removed from Outlook...
Hi, Here is my problem: I would like to disable archiving for some ~500 users and delete theirs archives from EV 9.0.2. The problem is that Virtual Vault is still always present in Outlook folder tree and users are able to browse the vault cache. How to remove it for 500 users? Here is what i did (step-by-step): 1. Disable archiving for users from EV console. 2. Synchronize Mailboxes 3. Remove users from the Provisioning group 4. Run Provisioning task 5. Delete archives from EV 6. Enterprise Vault and Virus
When you run enterprise vault (8.0) and you have a virus that comes in on an email which is not caught prior to archiving how is this typically handled? In other words, can I cleanse the email? Do people remove the email? Is there no worry about the virus? I ask so that if we have a an issue where an infected email is archived that users to do not pull out an infected email when searching/restoring/etc the archive in the future.Solved1.2KViews0likes4Comments

When we face similar issue in windows, we used to reset EV client on windows machine. In Macbook, how can we reset EV client and access archived mail with attachement without any issue. Exporting and recreating split PST files
Hello, Using Discovery Accelerator 9, I've exported out a significant amount of email for a custodian (about 50GB). I've selected to export as 'Original Type' and to encapsulate in a PST format. Doing this, I've run across a couple of questions that I'm not able to answer fully and I'm hoping someone here can do so. Question 1: The PST files split into 1.32GB size chunks and seems to divide the PST files exactly on this size (like a zip file). After looking at a PST file, it seems to possibly parse the msg files in different PST files. Meaning an email with one attachment can possibly save the email in one PST and the attachment in another. Is this something that it does? If so, is there an option to have it not do this? Question 2: After the above, it also looks like it does not retain original folder structures (maybe it never had one being in the archive).
