Backup of SAP HANA with multitenant database container with netbackup.
Hi, I have one query? We have netbackup 7.7.2 and SAP HANA with multitenant database container. For one instance we have to do following configurations on SAP HANA studio: Create hdbbackint soft link from /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/hdb/opt/hdbbackint to /usr/openv/NetBackup/bin/hdbbackint_script for every database instance. The parameter file (initSAP.utl) must be specified for data in the SAP HANA database instance configuration. To specify the parameter file, go to Instance->Configuration-> global.ini > data_backup_parameter_file. The parameter file (initSAP.utl) must be specified for logs in the SAP HANA database instance configuration. To specify backup using the parameter file, go to Instance->Configuration->global.ini-> log_backup_parameter_file. To specify backup using the backint file, go to Instance->Configuration->global.ini-> log_backup_using_backint->SYSTEM = true. My problem is that how to configure backup for multitenant database container (For multiple Instance ) We have cluster "Dev" with multitenant database container having 3 instance "Dev" "Quality" and "SystemDB" The problem is that DBA is telling that create hdbbackint soft link from /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/hdb/opt/hdbbackint to /usr/openv/NetBackup/bin/hdbbackint_script . DBA inform us that,It is not possible due to Database instances in SAP HANA database will be in hidden mode. So we cannot create the links. Requesting you to help me in this. EV Client Reset for MAC book
Hi All, We are facing issue while accessing archived mails which contains attachment in Mac book using outlook 2011. When we face similar issue in windows, we used to reset EV client on windows machine. In Macbook, how can we reset EV client and access archived mail with attachement without any issue. Hello, I have a strage occurence at a customers site. When I install the remote agent on 2 servers and start a backup I immediatly get the E00084CA Error. When I disable the agent and do a network share backup all is ok. It is not the tape nor the tape unit.. Local backups are OK, only remote backups with the agent on these 2 servers are not ok. we have tried another server with the agent and it went OK too... Hello Experts, As part of a monitoring solution, we have been relying upon the presence of below registry keys to detect presence of a VCS on Windows, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\VC HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\VCS\Base This however seems to be unreliable leading to false positives. I want an approach(could be a registry key/value) to detect a VCS with certinity on a Windows. Thank you! Ashish
Steps to follow when upgrading Master Server Operating System
Good Day, I have to do a Server OS Upgrade on my NetBackup 8.0 Master Server. Current OS = MS Server 2008 R2 Standard, Sp1 64Bit. Upgrade to = MS Server 2012 R2 Standard, Sp1 64Bit. My Backups currently writes to Data Domain via OST Plugin. Please advise the proper steps (Backups / Installation process) I need to take to make sure my Server OS Upgrade / NetBackup Installation runs successfully. thanks VIKASH
