Why should i use cloud backup solution like AWS..?
Hi Team I have one query. Today lot of organizations are talking about cloud backup service. If i have infrastructurecreated in cloud itself (AWS instances, Databases etc.,), do i need to deploy enviornment inside cloud as we deploy in on-premise? Cloud offers few native features such as Snapshot mechanims for AWS instances Database availability and consistency Data availability across multiple region. In this scenario, why should i use backup software since they will charge me license cost.
Enterprise vault trial software
Hello, During the Symantec period, trial software and 30day keys were available through a special link: http://www.symantec.com/offer?a_id=35111 With the move to Veritas, I have searched for an alternative incl. the entitlement portal (I can see that I had an 1 license option, but it's expired or something), but no luck yet. I have no active customer at this time to be out in the field, but I'd like to continue to develop with the newer versions. What's the best way to tackle this? Thanks Bert
System Recovery Renewal
My licenses are up for renewal for System Recovery which are used to backup Window PC's. I did not get an email with links to renew so if interested do I just go to a site that sells and copy over the license info from the Veritas website? Is there a renewal process more integrated with the license manager on the Veritas website? Also, I looked at the readme for what was new in 21 and all it really said was windows compatability and some server item. Is there a list of new features/changes/fixes? Unable to locate browser.exe within BE15 download
Hello Masters, We are trying to add new license we have recently purchased. We are following License installation wizard and have added all SLF files we have. But before It actually registered the licenses, BE asked to browse the Browser.exe file. So we downloaded the BE full version but neither we, nor BE wizard can locate the Browser.exe file anywhere in the download, which is stopping us to add/register the license. Can someone please help or guide us if we are doing anything wrong or missing something in this process of adding licenses?Lic question
Dear All, We are proposing backup exec for one customer, customer needs agent base lic..customer have 2 Hyper V host with 2 -2 VM each ( each host have one AD and one Exchange). and one physical file server. the backup will be on the tape drive (not library) which will be connected on either hyper V host. the customer wants to take a backup of thecomplete virtual machine. which lic. will be best for the customer also do I have to take any lic. for tape also? Veritas System Recovery 2018 partnumber
I've been using Norton Ghost and Symantec System Recovery for many years as a home user. I want to buy Vertitas System Recovery 2018 with the recovery disks, but there are so many versions that I don't see the forrest between the trees (translation to ERnglish of a Dutch proverb). I want Veritas Systel Recovery for Desktop use with Windows 10 Pro x64 and with the recovery discs included. And for 1 pc, if the price is ok, 2 pc's. Also I want to have all the updates free for all Veritas Symantec Recovery 2018 updates. Can anybody tell me the Veritas partnumber for this or what version I should buy? Not an upgrade but a fresh new version. I can't even mail Veritas sales or support to ask a question. Lots of info on their webpage, but relevant information is not on it. Would it not be easier that you can see online what versions there are of VSR and what they have included and for what usage it is recommended. Why makes thing so difficult? Dear Netbackup gurus! Please advise me on how to find out which license is used by a given client. For instance, there is a hypervisor host/client, and I want to know the license name that this host uses, e.g., HypervisorA uses NetBackup Enterprise Client license. Where to find this piece of information? I have searched in the NetBackup Java Console as well as in the NetBackup Web UI without success. Unfortunately, even the nbdeployutil license report command does not provide information about specific licensing types, such as NetBackup Enterprise Client license etc. Any input will be much appreciated.
