Obtaining protected data size with PureDisk
I have a PureDisk environment running 6.6.0.3, without a central SPA, and need to be able to obtain the front-end protected size of the data that I am backing up. If I had a SPA with central reporting enabled, then I could run teh Enterprise License report, but since I do not have central reporting enabled, I don't seem to have the report available. How do I determine how much front-end data I am protecting?1.4KViews0likes5CommentsPuredisk licensing
I'm currently running on puredisk version 6.6.0 and we have purchased a license of 5TB premium infrastructure. We are looking to upgrade the puredisk box to 6.6.1.2 and i was wondering if this upgrade will have some effects on the following 1 - Puredisk is currently protecting about 10 TB of data, but we have purchased only a 5TB premium infrastructure license /dev/vx/dsk/PDDG/pdstore01 645G 358G 269G 58% /Storage /dev/vx/dsk/PDDG/pddata01 11T 9.6T 1.1T 91% /Storage/data I'm of the understanding that puredisk is licensed per front end TB of license . a ) Are we really in compliance b ) An upgrade from 6.6.0 to 6.6.1.2 will it need me to purchase disk license( infra) if i'm protecting about 9 TB as per my /storage/data Can someone please assist./1KViews0likes5CommentsReporting 'frontend' capacity
We run PD 6.6 across a number of sites, and license based on front-end capacity (i.e. size of data backed up). I'm suprised that there is no simple (working) report in PD to advise on how much data is being backed up. Is there any improvement in reporting in v7 , if not, other that checking each client stats individually to make this calculation, any suggestions on 'easy' ways to get this data ?968Views0likes3CommentsNetbackup products training
