Veritas Cluster
I need to know the licensing method if i am planning to run 4 Node Window cluster on Virtual machine. 1) Physical Machine having Dual CPU with 12 core ( Intel Xeon E5). 2) Virtual Machine having 16 vcpu each . So need to understand how many license i need to buy to create 4 node Vertias Cluster and which license type . Quick help is appreciated.

Query SFHA
Hello, One query that If I install SFHA 5.1 . then the VVR will be of same version or it can be other. Can VVR be of different version than VCS and Vxvm ? Or they are all one package and So they all can be only one version . Pleae advice and explain thoroughlt for my understanding.

The standard license of cluster include Veritas volumen manager of VXFS?

Veritas / Symantec Cluster Server Maintenance Agreement
Hi everyone! I have a question related to the maintenance agreement renewals for Veritas / SymantecCluster Server. Originally our cluster server ran on a IBM P5 w/ AIX and we had Tier C renewal. Now we have moved to IBM P7 w/ AIX and the vendor has informed us that we need to move to a Tier G renewal, which isfive times the price of the Tier C. I just to confirm and want some information on what Tier C and G are. Are they related to IBM or Symantec? Should I expect this type of MA price increase? Thanks in advance. Regards, Halcyon.

HA/DR licensing question
Can anyone tell me if the ha/dr licensing is locked to the Solaris server hostid? I want to work out if an on site spare could be used as a replacement with the same license key, or would we need to pay for a separate license for a server that may never be used?

VCS new volume created. Need to add up under existing Resource Group under 2 node clustered Solaris 10 Server...Important..please assist
Hi, I am newbi to VCS. OS is Solaris10. Two node cluster env. New filesystem already created and mounted with dedicated Vertual IP and is already under VCS. We have added two more Vol's (Vol03 & Vol04) in the existing Resource Group say 'node1_rg' Guys, please help me out to know the sequential and step by step procedure with commands to take the newly created Volumes under existing Resource Group......and how to carry out the Failover Test. this is a test server on which we need to do the task. Oracle Database is also there and we can coordinate with App & DBA team to do this activity...... Pleaseeeeeeee help. this is first time I had been to this forum seeking the help...
