Editing Host file on Netbackup 5520 appliance
I could do with some help on what options are available to add entries to the host file on the 5520 appliance. I am familiar with using the CLISH and navigating to >>Network from the main menu and the using the following command: hosts add 10.0.0.1 nbutest.nbappliance.lab nbutest host show - will provide an output of information in the file. Is there anyway to access the the host file by going through Support>>Maintenance(Enter Password)>>Elevate I believe you can drop in to the normal Linux directory structure and navigate to \usr\openv\netbackup... But where is the host file located and what is is called since most Linux articles seem to refer to \etc\hosts I have tried to use vi and view the hosts & hosts.conf files located in the \usr\openv\netbackup\bin directories, but they do not seem to list the same info as what I see when running hosts show through CLISH. Any assistance would be appreciated with the above. Thanks In Advance9.6KViews0likes5CommentsVMWare Backup from SAN with HITACHI VSP G600

Hi All, Can anyone tell me where the commands are for the the SMASH console on the 5230 appliance. For some reason, after a reimage, I have rebooted the appliance but do not get even the spash screen. I can get onto the IPMI port and know there is a way of booting the appliance from there. Hello Guys I have 2 backup copies in my setup , copy 1 ( primary ) on DATA DOMAIN , Copy 2 on Tape Library. Now due to space issue on data domain , we are expiring Primary copy ( Copy 1 ) which was there more than 15 Days . I have list of Backup id's for which I need to check no. of Backup copies. (1) if no. of backup copies are 2 .. then go for expiration of Primary copy ( which resides on DATA DOMAIN ) (2) if no. of backup copy is 1 .. then first run duplicate job for such backup images, create 2nd copy and then expire 1st copy. ISSUE :: I tried to run below script to get no. of copies for each backup id, but i also want to know the backup ID with respect to No. of backup copies output. & want to get that output in text file. so that I can Identify the Backup id's which has only one backup id. Current script & output is as below :: cat filename.txt | while read line > do > bpimagelist -backupid $line -L | grep Copies > done *** filename.txt is the file which contains only Backup ID's for validation *** I am expecting output as below e.g e.g ABC_1416513707 = Number of Copies: 2 DEF_1416809895 = Number of Copies : 1 can some one help me in this scripting part. ?Solved3.3KViews1like4Commentsrehydration is slow from msdp(5230) to sl500 RL
