Support for IBM Power 8 server
Hi All, Client hasrecently migrated SAP Hana from Intel box to IBM Power 8 server andoperating system is - SUSE Linux Enterprise server 11 SP4 running on IBM power server for Hana . McAfee SIEM Receiver unable to receive DLP Incidents
Dear All, I have configured SymantecDLP Enforce with McAfee SIEM (Syslog Server) I have followed the Admin Guide and Symantec article and followed the steps as mentioned. We are able to send incident messages to Syslog server,and Enforce server is Successfully Telnet Syslog Server. syslog IP port 514 Secondly we have run TCP Dump which shows DLP is sending event messages to McAfee SIEM receiver. Now coming on McAfee SIEM they have selected Symantec DLP and put IP of DLP enforce and there default port is 514. Now they are Syslog is unable to receive any incidents but from our side its showing it has already send logs. regarding DLP Message variable i have used. $POLICY$ $INCIDENT_ID$ $SUBJECT$ $SEVERITY$ $MATCH_COUNT$ $RULES$ $SENDER$ $RECIPIENTS$ $BLOCKED$ $FILE_NAME$ $PARENT_PATH$ $SCAN$ $TARGET$ $PROTOCOL$ $ INCIDENT_SNAPSHOT$ $POLICY$^^$INCIDENT_ID$^^$SUBJECT$^^$SEVERITY$^^$MATCH_COUNT$^^$RULES$^^$SENDER$^^ Need you help is there any port to be open on DLP side or what steps should i take. DPL enforce is running on Red hat Linux 5.9 and DLP version 12.0. If we want to send specific user incident what should we add in enforce server side. Hi, I am trying to take the backup of Vcenter which has many Debian VM machines. I am wondering if someone is taking backup of Debian 6.0.10Linux server.local.lan 2.6.32-5-amd64 #1 SMP Tue May 13 16:34:35 UTC 2014 x86_64 GNU/Linuxvia symantec backup appliance 3600 R2 ? if you could answer the following questions ? Is the backup supporting GRT and have you tried restore the individual files ? The SCL says "Debian does not support snapshot capabilities" however when I take the backup VCenter takes the snapshot. Any ideas what is this snapshot capabilities are ? Is it necessary to have Root password authentication for the Linux ?I guess this password authentication is for GRT, isn't? . Actually I have disabled password authentication and only have key based authentication. Lastly, what if I only want to take the backup of VMDK file, wanting to restore the full machine and don't need the capability of restoring individual files, would I still be requiring agent installation on debian and root authentication thing ? I am using Rsyslog as a syslog forward to SSIM. This is Redhat Entperise 6.4 (64 bit). The issue is I need to keep the original source IP address of the security devices that are sending to Rsyslog when I forward them to SSIM. In other works.... I have all security syslog devices being forward to my Rsyslog server. Which in turns sends all these syslogs to my SSIM server. This works with no problem. This issue the source IP address is now the IP address of the Rsyslog server and not the original security syslog device IP address.528Views0likes0Comments

Hello, We recently purchased 2 Backupexec appliances. I was planning to run one locally. Once it was setup and backuping up properly, I was going backup that one to the second and then ship to our secondary location, and then backup to it remotely. While setting up the first one, I've run into some installation issues. Could someone please help me, and explain how can I install clients on linux servers and Mac Servers and/or workstations. I can't seem to figure out how to install backupexec clients on these. Thanks for your time and help. An error occurred while installing RPMs(returncode 1) I using sudo ./setup.sh install prod command to install the Symantec_App_Center_4.0.3_RedHat5_x86-64_IE.iso.
