GUP Multiple - Fonctionnement
:)657Views0likes1CommentWindow Security Center
Recently on my PC, the Window Security Center is giving me an alert saying Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition might be out of date. However, I recently did a live update and have all the current virus protections downloaded and I recently ran a full scan and found no threats. Can anyone advise me why this Windows alert may be happening. Thanks.940Views0likes6CommentsGlobal Security Task Force?
Good evening all, I am currently researching regulation in community/citizen scientist biotechnology and the difficulties involved with regulating an industry once it is in the hands of the citizenry, and lately I have been considering a slightly different approach that could potentially avoid this problem. I have been drawing from examples in the computer industry (especially for the open-source trend) and remembered Symantec's response to the Conficker virus. My understanding is that there is a group of programmers (forgive my ignorance, this is not my field at all!) that try to prevent viruses and respond to them as soon as they are discovered. Is there a site at which I could access the specific policies under which these programmers operate? How about strategies (I know there is an instant update system in your antivirus tool, and I would imagine a notification system should I come across a truly novel virus that updates the information to these programmers, or is my speculation incorrect?). There are some specifics I would like to compare with the possibility of implementing a "task force" of a similar nature in dealing with human viruses and biological threats posed by certain extremist groups. Thanks for your time, -Ben.Solved1.7KViews0likes2CommentsWHATSNEW.TXT Top-ten List

Hi, I can't figure out why Live Update isn't updating for Norton 360. It says "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates,"but at the main page it says my definitions are not up to date.I'm not getting any error messages that indicate what exactly the problem is. I read somewhere that re-installing it is necessary to fix this problem, however I'm not sure if I wish to do so because according to the license, it states that Ican install it on two other pc's. I think it's a bit of a waste to re-install it just for Live Update. Unless re-installing doesn't count? Is there a patch or something that specifically fixes this problem?Or do Ihave to change my settings? I have never touched any settings before and it was working. If Icould have help, I'd greatly appreciate it, and I'm sorry for choosing the wrong product if I did. Thank you in advance.Solved1.3KViews1like8CommentsInternet Explorer 8 problems with Nortons
