Cannot install Enterprice Vault Client on Mac OS X
Hi, I had working Vault installation, which was broken when I upgraded to Mac OS X Yosemite. So installed new 2015 Offise suite (including new Outlook (15.18 160109). Then tried to install Enterprice Vault from disk image SymantecEnterpriseVaultClient.11.0.1.1022.dmg. The installation says: Cannot install Symantec Enterprise Vault Client on this computer for the following reasons: -No supported mail client found Try installing after ensuring that your computer meets the following minimum requirements: -Microsoft Outlook 2011 version 14.0.0 or later Any ideas what the problems is or what I could try? Needless to say the Outlook works just fine, is installed in the default location (/Applications/Microsoft Outlook.app) and is selected as the default mail client. br Kusti2KViews0likes7CommentsEV Client 12.0.0.1037 with Mac OSX Yosemite
We have EV Client plugin installed with Outlook for Mac 2016 on Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.5. Software versions: EV Client: 12.0.0.1037 Outlook for Mac 2016: 15.17 (151206) Plugin installed succesfully. However when I scroll to an archive emails and click Restore, it returns a message of "The operation could not be completed at this time". When I click View it logs out with a message "Login failure: Unknown user or bad password", then prompts for credentials. Once credentials are supplied and click View, it's the same over and over again. When I click Reply, the error message is "No message is selected for the operation". This was working before our Exchange Server and client was upgraded. Are there things I can do to test/debug this?660Views2likes2CommentsEV10 Mac OS client compatibility with EV Server version?
I've been reading and re-reading the Mac sections of the Compatibility Guide (June 1, 2015 version) and can't seem to find the EV client/server compatibility matrix for Mac OS EV client. I have an issue which I cannot seem to fix. I am using Yosemite with EV 11.0.1.1022 plugin installed. Whenever I login to the vault the EV app appears to crash. The icon in the top task bar disapears and the about 60 seconds later returns and is still not logged in. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin but to no avail. The hotfix 1 for EV 11 seems to be for windows operating systems only with nothing for OSX. Hi, Once user is facing an issue with his Outlook 2011 in MAC OS X Yosemite,. The user is using only one mail profile and he didnt configured "mail" application for emails. The error is showing as Microsoft Entourage is not running. Check Enterprise Vault system preferences pane for configured email client. I'm trying to answer a question using the compatibility guide and I think I've got the answer but was wondering if anyone could review the following in relation to OSx If I have OSx 10.10, there is no EV10 client available to install I could however install an EV11 client instead, as long as the client was 11.0.1? EV10 clients are available for Mac OSx 10.5 - 10.9 with caveats Can I also clarify that there is no such thing as Outlook 2010 for Mac? The Windows Outlook 2010 Mac equivilant is actually Outlook 2011 for Mac Therefore I can install the following combination - EV client 11.0.1 on OSx 10.10.4 and use Outlook 2011 for Mac Many thanks909Views0likes7CommentsUnable to login to Evault Client from MAC
one of our user is unable to login to Evault client on his MAC. After entering the credentials, he gets the below message. "Enterprise Vault client failed to login.Unable to retrieve configuration information" so far only this user is experiencing the issue. I am running Mac OS X (10.9.5) and Outlook 2011 for Mac. We are running Symantec Enterprise Vault 11.0.0.1035. Up until a few days ago I could login to the Enterprise Vault, now I get the error message of "Microsoft Entourage is not running. Check Enterprise Vault system preference pane for configured email client." Now I go into the preference pane and the only clinet available is Microsoft Outlook 2011. Entourage never ran on this machine since I just set it up three weeks ago, new in the box. I do have one caveat, I did install MS Outlook 2013 for Mac but I DID know that EV was not going to work for it, but did not care since I am just testing this out, but I assume its install has broken EV for Outlook 2011.
