Daily backup report using symantec netbackup opscenter analytic
Here's my question: I would like to be able to generate following reports from opscenter in a tabular form from my opscenter analytic on a daily basis for my management. 1. Total jobs executed in 24hrs 2. Successful jobs in last 24hrs (Status 0) 3. Partially successful jobs in last 24hrs (Status 1) 4. Failed jobs in last 24hrs 5. Data backed up in last 24hrs 6. Total number of tapes used. Will there be away to have these reports all under one subject/heading? Will greatly appreciate any help with sql query or some other way to get this done in my opscenter analytic. Thank youSolved4.3KViews0likes12CommentsOpsCenter is not connecting with the Master Servers
Hey guys I had OpsCenter setup with two Master Servers. All was working fine until suddenly two days ago OpsCenter stopped showing the reports and started showing that it is not connected to the master servers. The network connection is up. Any suggestions are welcome. P.S. If anyone have a guide to get the most out of OpsCenter that'd be great.2.7KViews0likes8CommentsHow to configure SMTP settings in OPS Center?

I was advised to post this here aswell: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/netbackup-ops-and-scom-2012-monitoring#comment-9907871 With reguards to monitoring Netbackup with SCOM 2012. SCOM 2012 does not allow a windows server to be added as a network device like SCOM 2007. How are people getting around this limitation in order to monitor Netbackup Ops with SCOM 2012? The documentation seems to be a rewrite of the 2007 documentation not taking this limitation into account. Please advise how we can proceed.2.5KViews0likes9Commentsops centre reports not sending emails

Is it possible to report on database instance names? I have a SQL backup policy configured in NetBackup and it would be nice to report on databases themselves instead of just the server name. In this article http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO43374 , it anounces it as a new feature for the 7.1 version. I am using 7.5.0.4 and find nothing. The article states the following: "A new Report On parameter called Backup Job Database Instance Name is available when you edit custom reports. Using the Backup Job Database Instance Name parameter, you can view data for a specific MS-SQL database instance in a custom report." I am NOT using or have license for OpsCenter Analytics.Solved2.4KViews1like3CommentsOpscenter : report on data growth on backup with accelarator option enabled.

hi, we have a Opscenter7.1.0.1 running on Windows 2008 standard R2 with 2 processors/8G. it's a VM and houses the OpsCenter only. Recently we received CPU high unilization alerts from this server........and we narrow down the issue to the NetBackup OpsCenter services, when stopped the CPU load goes down to a low level. ...... and besides I found the following warning in "D:\Program Files\Symantec\OpsCenter\server\db\log\server.log" 04/17 14:32:06. Performance warning: Database file "D:\Program Files\Symantec\OpsCenter\Server\DB\Data\vxpmdb.db" consists of 1248 disk fragments 04/17 14:32:07. Performance warning: Database file "D:\Program Files\Symantec\OpsCenter\Server\DB\Data\symcOpscache.db" consists of 292 disk fragments.... it seems we need to defrag the Opscenter databases so as to increase data access and retrieval speed...I am not sure..but I wanted to try it since our OpsCenter has been running for about 10 months and manages 7 masters...the database must be very large.... my question is that : 1)how to defrag the database ? is that mean we need to purge some obsolete data? 2)I ran the "dbdefrag" today but I didn't see any change via the server.log ..so I ran it 3 times.......and after I ran this command what else do I need to do ? after defragmentation, how long is the data kept in Opscenter databases?
