Backup of deduplicated EMC storage failed
Hello, we backuped our EMC storage very well since many years now. Recently, the expert in storage activated the deduplication of our NS120 storage, and now only Full backup succeed, all incremental backup failed with the following error: NDMP Log Message: SnapSure file system creation fails NDMP Log Message: Mover encountered internal socket error. NDMP Data Halted: Aborted NDMP Mover Halted: Internal Error I try to desactivate the option Snapsure, but i have another error message... I would like to keep deduplication activated because storage space becomes critical. Someone already face to this issue and find a solution? Thx a lot for your help
CIFS backup from VNXe 3150 without NDMP through BE 2012.
Hi, One my customer want to have EMC VNXe 3150 and BE 2012. We have created a CIFS server and Share folder. Is it possible to take this share foder backup without using NDMP. If yes, how. I have a link but its not for VNXe 3150:- http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH55199 Thanks.
Backup Exec with NDMP of NetApp job Queued
Hi, I'm attempting to configure Backup Exec 2010 to backup data from a NetApp Filer using NDMP. The tape library I am using is a HP StorageWorks MSL4048 connected directly to the NetApp Filer via Fibre Channel. I managed to get a some backup jobs to run but now all of the jobs go to a queued state and never run. I can see the tape library and the drives in devices within Backup Exec and they all say they are ready. There is also blank media in the slots within the tape library. I can not understand why the jobs are queued and never run. And advise on where to start to troubleshoot this? I have upgraded to Serviec pack 2 but that has not helped. I have restarted the Backup Exec services and the whole server it is running on as well as restarting the tape library but with no success to get the jobs running. Cheers, CalvinHELP!!! We're having major issues with our backup solution. We have a single BE 12 server. We been receiving the following errors from all Windows, Linux and Mac servers. And also errors relating to "value out of range" When I try to restore the Backup Set Number that ends with a negative value (ie, -30577) and catalog File Name ending in a negative value (ie, ....._-30577.xml) are the ones that doesn't show the restore list after the backup job is successful. We trying everything from repair DB, renaming Catalog folders, etc... still no luck! Please help! As we are not able to do any kind of backups at this point we can not afford to start over and lose months of backups. Backup Exec Alert: Catalog Error ODBC access error.
