Editing Host file on Netbackup 5520 appliance
I could do with some help on what options are available to add entries to the host file on the 5520 appliance. I am familiar with using the CLISH and navigating to >>Network from the main menu and the using the following command: hosts add 10.0.0.1 nbutest.nbappliance.lab nbutest host show - will provide an output of information in the file. Is there anyway to access the the host file by going through Support>>Maintenance(Enter Password)>>Elevate I believe you can drop in to the normal Linux directory structure and navigate to \usr\openv\netbackup... But where is the host file located and what is is called since most Linux articles seem to refer to \etc\hosts I have tried to use vi and view the hosts & hosts.conf files located in the \usr\openv\netbackup\bin directories, but they do not seem to list the same info as what I see when running hosts show through CLISH. Any assistance would be appreciated with the above. Thanks In Advance
How and where to define data traffic will go through different IP
I am working on NBU appliance version 2.6.2 we have 2x1 Gig management IP and 2x10 Gig data IP. We have create bond of these.Currently data traffic is running through 1Gig connection. If I want that traffic will run through 10 Gig connection, do I have to create route for it? Please let me know how and where i can define that data traffic will go through another IP? Thanks
Netbackup Appliance Upgrade Preparation
Hi all, my task is to upgrade Netbackup Appliance version 3.2 Netbackup version 8.2 Is it enough to run NetBackup Appliance Upgrade Readiness Analyzer (https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.100048585) to be sure all will be working after the upgrade? Is it neccesary to check also Database and Application Agent Compatibility List (https://download.veritas.com/resources/content/live/OSVC/100040000/100040093/en_US/nbu_90_db_scl.html?__gda__=1650490140_0cb0f6e44757e3845b20b0a760184821) to be sure older version of applications (MSSQL, VMware) will be backed up after the upgrade? And what about a tape library? Is there any document regarding upgrading Netbackup and tape library compatibility? All suggestions and recommendations will be much appreciated!
NetBackup 5230 Appliance Upgrade
Hello all I have a NetBackup Appliance 5230 3.0 with NBU 8.0 and I will do the upgrade to 3.1; but is my first time working with this appliance, so I need a manual or the step by step for this activity. How do I get Smart-Meter data manually in NetBackup Appliance?
Hi, It is necessary to manually upload the NBA Smart-Meter data connected to the network that cannot communicate with the outside. The Smart-Meter Administrator's Guide has a manual upload procedure for Windows and Linux servers. However, there is no description of the method for NBA. Can be obtained by elevating from maintenance mode, but is it possible for end users to do it?
