Readiness Analyzer is not working properly
Hello Everyone, I would like to ask how to resolve our issue when running the latest Readiness Analyzer on our NetBackup appliance. Our appliance is currently on version 4.1, and we are planning to upgrade to version 5.1.1. However, after installing the Readiness Analyzer, it does not run completely and only displays an output. Flex Appliance Sizing
Hi Guys, I'm new to Netbackup products, even more so to its Appliances. We've received a new Flex 5260 appliance, which we're going to configure. Before starting the configuration, we're consulting the Veritas documentation to better understand how the device works. For a first review, two questions come to mind: Size of the application instances volumes : In our Appliance, we'll create two instances, one Primary and one MediaServer (MSDP); How can we get NBU recommendations regarding volumes sizes ? (Primary Catalog, MSDP, AdvDisk, Staging ... Etc). In the configuration of a new MediaServer instance, we came across the following volumes : MSDP, AdvancedDisk, Staging. And since we are going to use Dedup, then automatically we'll create an MSDP volume. In this case, should we set AdvancedDisk and Staging to 0 GB ? What is the purpose of the "Staging volume" ? Is there any sort of Sizing Tool provided by Veritas for this purpose ? To get the right requirements for each component depending on the environment to be backed up (Number of clients, FET, BET ...etc.) Thanks in advance for any provided guidance. Regards.
SAP Oracle backup is taking longer than usual
Hello Team, We have a SAP oracle server which is taking more than 9 hours, previously it was taking 4 hours to complete, currently we are using 8.3.0.1 version for client, master and media, The memory is also available. We changed storage unit as well but no luck.
How to Backup from VTL to Tapes
Hi VOX Experts, We have a netback up version 7.5.0.6 my colleague have taken the backup to VTL. What we need to accomplish is to backup the content of /db/backup to external quantum tapes. May we know how can we do that using the netbackup 7.5.0.6? We also encounter error 96 which is media not available but upon checking there are tapes inside our tape liblary. Thanks in advance
