MSP/XSP Partners - No Communication or Source of Info?
I've been a Symantec Partner, selling products primarily through the MSP/XSP selling program, for about 3-4 years. The way I find out that products are being discontinued is when I fill out my quarterly usage report and find that the product is missing from the price list. When BackupExec.cloud was discontinued, my customers were notified about 3 months before I, the partner, was notified. Am I the only one that doesn't get any information from Symantec except high level communication, such as the announcement that Veritas is to be split off? How do partners keep up to date? Also, I find it terribly difficult to get information about Symantec's various products. How do partners learn the details about Symantec's various products?The provided training only gives sales information and not information on what the product actually does. Representatives are hard to reach and don't seem to know the products very well. I'm hopeful that the Symantec/Veritas split will solve some of the communications/information issues as I've been frustrated for too long.1.1KViews1like0Comments

Hi, I'm developing an SAAS solution and potential buyers have inquired if our software will haveISO/IEC 27001 certification. Our system will have robust security, but we did not anticipate purchasing such a certification. Does Symantec offer this certification service? Hi there! Hope you can help me, one of my customers have Symantec Protection Suite Enterprse Edition FOR ENDPOINTS 4.0 per user, but I have been looking for its renewal license with no luck... (One of the components inside it is Altiris Inventory) Is this license already EOL? What description or product name should I use for this renew? DLP Architecture
I have a confusion about the architecture of the DLP. The Network Prevent (Email and web) can be on the same server as the Network Monitor? The Endpoint Discover and Prevent are on a server or installed on the agent and the component in the Enforce? In the three-tier enforce suggested in a server, the database on another server and the detection which would go (Network components including Monitor Network and Endpoint components)?. Syncing my CertTracker and ParterNet accounts
I have recently passed the "Admin of Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1" exam. I'm not sure if I didn't use the right Partner ID when registering or not but my certification is not showing up on my PartnerNet ID. Although I see it in my CertTracker page when I log in there.
