DLO 7.5 SP1 on Windows 8.1
We are just starting to roll out DLO. I am running Symantec DL0 7.5 SP1 on Server 2008 R2. Running all the latest Windows and Symantec updates. We have had no issues with Windows 7, but Windows 8.1 seems to be problematic. We have one user on Windows 8.1 with Outlook 2013, they have 1 PST file 30Gb in size, and DLO is successful. We have another user with Windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013 and keep on receiving the following error "PST is in use by another application. It will retired" This user has 50 PST files in one location that are 25GB in total size. DLO is failing to make the local and network backup of these PST files. I have contacted Symantec support and got told Windows 8.1 is not supported by DLO 7.5 sp1. When I asked why does one client work the response I got was "Its Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I got told Windows 8.1 would be supported by an update but they are unable to say when its due. The support experince was very poor and on a number of oocassion Symantec didn't call at the time requested. Is this a common problem with Windows 8.1? Does anyone know when the update is due? Does anyone know a resolution to this as downgrading the OS is not an option.603Views1like3CommentsDLO updates or upgrades : news and download page
Hello, Is there an article or a page on connect that sum-up all the news and download links for DLO ? We have a page for NBU which is quite convenient, but I wasn't able to find something for DLO. (in fact I've just found this page) http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=landing&key=61042 Are we supposed to receive an email when an update has been published ? Thanks for your help,908Views1like3CommentsSymantec Desktop and Laptop Options - Problem
Dear All, We have some issue with the Symantec DLO backups. below is the setup 1) Symantec DLO Server - Windows 2012 Server 2) Symantec DLO Clients - Windows XP Professional & MS Office 2007 Professional We have backups running for some clients and some of the clients backup says "Local Pending" in queue, but never gets backed up, even though those are scheduled to Run. In fact we had some issue with Local Disk space, and we have now mapped the local user backup on the shared folder instead on local fixed drive. Backups all go on queue and wont get backed up to either local Folder location or the Network Folder location. Can anyone suggest what could be the reason for such behaviour. I have tried to search in some blogs and search, but there is no particular answer for this problem related to Sym DLO. It would be great, if someone suggest me the solution here.
