Opcenter Atutil
Hi, I am planing to upgrade Netbackup Ops center from 7.6.0.2 to 7.6.1.2. I have a doubt with AT. I don't have LDAP or AD authentication is my environment, Do I still need to export the authentication settings using atutil before the upgrade and import back after the upgrade ?Solved2.1KViews0likes3CommentsPlan of Upgrade OpsCenter from 7.5.0.4 to 7.6.0.1 - view builder
Hi, I am starting to plan for our NBU upgrade to 7.6 etc and I need to upgrade OpsCenter first. Our OpsCenter has viewbuilder installed but I dont think we are using it at present, The future maybe ! OpsCenter is currently living on a windows server 2008 x64 system and i have found SORT and the installation guides suggest that view builder is not supported on this platform. Can anyone shed any light on this matter.? Is there an alternative to this ? Or do I have to migrate onto a different platform before I can upgrade. ? Any advice welcomed. Hi all, Just upgraded our OpsCenter (Windows) from v7.5.0.6 to v7.6.0.2. I can access to webgui locally when logged onto the server, but now cannot connect remotely - "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". - I have recreated the webapps folder as per TECH206842 > still cannot access the web console remotely. - Have also tried via IP - https://10.xx.xx..xx/opscenter > No go. - Web server logs are not giving me any info. Any ideas?Solved3.4KViews1like5CommentsUpdating OpsCenter Agent in a local Zone
Hey there, i've tried to update OpsCenter Agent on a local Solaris 10 Zone. The Install script 7.5.0.6 exited with the following Error: CPI ERROR V-9-2-1029 Installation on or from local zones is not supported. Version 7.5 is already installed. Why is an update not supported? Best Regards Nils440Views0likes1CommentOpsCenter 7.6 Upgrade Purge Setting Changes - Important for Analytics Users - Please Read!
In OpsCenter 7.6, purge settings will change from 420 to 220 days. For fresh 7.6 installations, there should be no cause for concern. However, upgrades from previous versions of OpsCenter, could cause a large amount of historical job information to be purged from OpsCenter. Symantec NetBackup OpsCenter 7.6 Administrator's Guide PDF http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC5042 pg. 254 Note: Before OpsCenter 7.6,the default data purge period for the backup jobs data was 420 days. In case of OpsCenter 7.6 upgrade, the default data purge period that is displayed for backup jobs data depends on what you had in the previous OpsCenter version. If you retained the default data purge period in the previous OpsCenter version (that is 420 days), in OpsCenter 7.6, it is set to 220 days. If you changed the default data purge period in the previous OpsCenter version, the same period is displayed in OpsCenter 7.6. For example: If you changed the default period in OpsCenter 7.5 from 420 to 500 days, in OpsCenter 7.6, it is set to 500 days In short, if you have never changed your default purge settings from 420 days (default) in OpsCenter 7.0, 7.1, or 7.5, and upgrade to 7.6, your default will become 220 days. When OpsCenter triggers its purge cycle, 200 days of historical information will be lost. Please Note: This is only for users that have never modified the default purge setting of 420 days, in previous releases.485Views2likes0CommentsProblems after upgrading OpsCenter to 7.5.0.6
Hello After upgrading our OpsCenter to 7.5.0.6 from 7.5.0.5 we have some reports that does not work scheduled and there seems to be a problem with the collection from our two masters which are on 7.5.0.5 and 7.5.0.4 Wonder if others had seen similar issues after upgrading to OpsCenter 7.5.0.6 We already have case at Symantec on the report problem Regards Michael414Views1like1CommentVersions supported by OpsCenter Analytics.
Hi, I'm planning an implementation of OpsCenter Analytics to send SNMP alerts to monitor servers with TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager) and BackupExec. I read that in the next releases of Opscenter, those backup tools wont be supported, do you know anything about it? https://sort.symantec.com/checklist/install/ops_sample_win Thank you!599Views0likes1CommentOpscenter 7.5.0.3 with Netbackup 7.5.0.5
Hi, I know that Opscenter should be equal to, or higher than the Netbackup version being montitored, but I am unsure if this includes Rollup patches too. Can I monitor Netbackup 7.5.0.5 with my current Opscenter installation of 7.5.0.3 ? (Or do I need to upgrade it to 7.5.0.5 also) Thanks NickSolved608Views2likes2Comments
