Hi all! I'm excperiencing connecting problems during night becakup to random clients - V-79-57344-65072 "the connection to target system has been lost". I've checked Backup Exec RAWS version at media server as well as on all remote systems - it's 13.0.5204.109. The Backup Exec RAWS version on the media server in newer than enywhere else - it's 13.0.5204.114. In order to try to resolve this issue I want to update agents first. Randomly error 0x80004005 - Unspecified error, which results in the failure of backup. After reading the forum and the recommendations it all comes down to the article that I TECH53004 requirements fulfilled And installation of patches 201596, 203574, 205111. Backup Exec Server Service won't start after latest LiveUpdate run
Has anyone else experienced after updating to the latest push from LiveUpdate for BackupExec 2014 the BackupExec Server service not starting? I thought at first it was an issue isolated to one of my servers but it seems that the same issue has arisen after another site ran LiveUpdate and is experiencing the same issue. I'm running Backup Exec 2014 on Windows Server 2012 R2. Everything has been running fine prior to the LiveUpdate. Any response or help is appreciated.Solved7KViews1like9Comments
IBM tape library TS-3100 get offline randomly once in a month
Dear All I am using backup exec 2010 R3 in windows server 2008 64 bit. with IBM tape library TS3100. My all scheduled backup jobs runs very fine but once in a month tape gets offline and we manually restart tape libraray . we also checked this issue from IBM no error found there. Please guide. Hi, When taking image backups i am getting the particular error. Even the Full Image backups doesnt work. Image Backups-Incremental Image Backups-Daily -- The job failed with the following error: Incremental\\Differential backup methods are not supported for this VM. The backup job failed, since the option 'to fall back to a full backup' was not selected. I logged a case with Symantec support and they said each VM should have an agent installed whether you need to take a GRT backup or just an image backup. Secondly they said all VMs must have hardware version7 inorder to do an incremental backup inorder to allow change block tracking feature within VMware. As a first step I am trying to push the RAWS agent to each VM. While installing agents on some VMs i am getting the following error 'install failed with error code 1603' I checked firewall settings and they are disabled. I currently have a number of customers on various 10 versions of EV and am looking to start planning the EV11 upgrade. As 11.0.1 is now available I am planning on deploying it. I see and can access the 11.0.1 CHF1 ISO, but cannot locate the 11.0.1 base code itself. I am assuming there is a full ISO install for 11.0.1 as opposed to an update to 11.0 (I already have the 11.0 code dated May 2014). I can only locate upgrade notifications for 11 (nothing for 11.0.1), and when I use the serial number associated with those upgraded licenses I see the original 11.0 code from May 2014. Hi all! I'm excperiencing connecting problems during night becakup to random clients - V-79-57344-65072 "the connection to target system has been lost". I've checked Backup Exec RAWS version at media server as well as on all remote systems - it's 13.0.5204.109. The Backup Exec RAWS version on the media server in newer than enywhere else - it's 13.0.5204.114. In order to try to resolve this issue I want to update agents first. Is it possible to do it automaticly? The uninstallation process and push install doesn't help - the older version is installed.
