Opscentre analytic s users restricted monitoring
Hi we use Opscentre analytics and Iwant to be able to create user accounts thats have restrictions on the account where they can view andmonitor the progress of a running backup, but also see the details tab of the running job so they can diagnose host level failures. Is there a way of doing this??Solved975Views0likes4CommentsImproving OpsCenter Master reconnection ?
Looking for ways to improve OpsCenter reconnection to Master servers, it often takes long froma Master Server ispingable from the OpsCenterserver to theMasterhas status Connected in OpsCenter. Have increased the database cache and number of CPUs, the next thing will be increasing the OpsCenter Server Service heap. Have looked at the OpsCenter Performance tuning guide, but thinking there might also be some OS settings there could improve the reconnection.424Views1like1CommentOpsCenter SQL query, to find client with low throughput
Hi I need to create a sql query report in OpsCenter, so I am able to locate the clients that are performing poorly regarding backup. So what I would like your help to create, is a report containing the following: - Client name - Masterserver - Mediaserver (not important, but nice to have if posible) - Size of backup - Throughput - Starttime - Endtime - OS Conditions for the report: - I would like to run it against a predefined masterserver (so I only get clients from thatspecifik masterserver) - I only want to see clients in the report which is running backup slower than 5MB/s - The report has to be timelimited, so I will be able to look at the backup 1 week back or 1 month. I really hope one of you guys will help me with some input :-) Br Tommy611Views1like1CommentTemp File - “sqla0001.tmp”
Hi All, We had recently upgraded our NBU OpsCenter server from v7.5.0.6 to v7.6.0.2, As per Symantec recommendation/steps we had performed the upgradation activity and it was successful one. Post the upgradation, I could see there is a temp file “sqla0001.tmp” created in the C:\ drive which occupies 10 GB of space, this resulted in creating a P2 incident daily which the drive space is occupied by the temp file. Also its taking a long time to generate the reports manually. As per the tech note http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH152870 I have changed the location of this file from C:\ drive to D:\ drive (OpsCenter software is installed in this drive)and this file was having more than 70 GB of free space, However after changing the path this file grows massively and created a temp file as “sqla0001.tmp” in D:\ drive which occupies 57+ GB of space. This resulted P2 incident for space crunch in D: drive. Also i do not have any idea why this file has grown rapidly from 10+ GB to 50+GB. Could someone help me out to fix this issue, it would be appreciated if this temp file is disabled/not created in any of the directory. Kindly help me on this , Thanks !2.1KViews0likes7CommentsOpsCenter drops connection to Masters
Hi All, Need suggestions on possible root causes: System: Windows 2008 R2 Standard running OpsCenter Analytics v7.5.0.7 Running on a VM with 8 vCPUs and 32GB of RAM The CPUs are almost all the time at 100%, caused by the dbsrv11.exe process. At least, once or twice a week, we log in and find that all Master Servers (14) are disconnected, prompting us to restart OpsCenter. Any suggestions? thanks.757Views0likes5CommentsOpsCenter Data Collection Error
Hi, I have a new 7.6.0.1 OpsCenter running on RHEL, based in the USA, which will be used as a global OC as part of a restructure of the backup team in the UK/USA/AP, having addeed two 7.6.0.1 Master Servers and two 7.5.0.7 master servers I am having an issue with one of the 7.5.0.7 servers, it failes to complete the data collection for the BMR, Skipped Files & Job Throughput Data Type, I get the following error mesageNbsl/Agent communication exception]: org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE: vmcid: 0x0 minor code: 0 completed: Maybe At present the Master Server is also connected to a local UK 75.0.7 OC and this has no errors at all, could this be due to the NBSL process being hammered as it is on two servers and also uses SLP Duplication?1.9KViews1like5Comments
