Is there a known workaround to add the users to the report in bulk? Pix939Views0likes1CommentData Insight - report.exe
Hello, I seem to be having an issue running the data againg report within Data Insight. Every time I run this report it fails. I had a call with tech support and they mentioned the report.exe keeps crashing. They are currently looking into it, but I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else is has has this issue in the past. I am using DI 5.0.1 and I am not able to have the DQL report to output to 1 single file. Is anyone else having this issue? I have a DQL query and when I am pulling some of the AD Attributes, it will separate the files. I even have put 'format user AS csv' at the end and it still puts it into multiple files. From user get name, principal_name, login, Home_directory, Department If Home_Directory not in ('nowhere') format user AS CSV; Please help!3.2KViews1like3CommentsHow to change report schedule on mass ?
Hi, I have a Data insight 5.0 system with several hundred scheduled reports whichwe need to change the time that they run. Is there a way of changing the report schedules on mass via the command line, i.e. reportcli or sqlite; or do we needto editthe schedule for each reportindividually through the GUI? Kind regards Philip1.5KViews1like1CommentReport of Data Insight Users
Hi, Apology this question is related to internal tables rather than DQL, but hopefully someone on here may be able to help. I need to create an automated report or script that captures a list of the Data Insight users and their respective roles to enable regular reviews of who has access to the data insight console. We currently have a manual process using the GUI, but need to move to an unattended solution that captures this information, merges it with other records and submits the final report to an access management system where access to the Data insight console is reviewed and if necessary revoked. Data Insight config.db has a table called “matrixuser” which contains details of the user accounts such as thier login and domain names, and a table called “role” which contains details of all the roles that are available in Data Insight --- but I can’t find anything that shows which users have been assigned to which roles. Does anyone know how or where to find this Kind regards Phil.Solved2.9KViews1like5CommentsData Insight Policies and Alerts
I have a client that would like to be notified if a user attempts to access files or folders to which they shouldn't have access. Now, this should not be an issue at all if file and folder ACLs are correct but that's another story. So, assuming a user doesn't have read access but can view files and folders can SDI provide alerts for this attempted access? Can the Widows File Server agent even track unsuccessful access attempts? The client is after real time alerting, if possible. I've had a look at reports but there doesn't seem to be anything useful so I thought policies may be the way to go.Has anyone got whitelist or blacklist policies to work? The documentation goes on about custom AD attributes and such but gives no information about how one would actually use them. I've asked Symantec for examples but I received nothing useful. I am attempting to create a Sensitive files with violated policies report from the template. I have uploaded a .csv with the policies named, however when the report run and I look at the output, no policy is listed. I have included the script, any suggestions? Hi, I have a report which searches a list of pathsfor certain types of files such as vmdk, for example. FROM dfspath GET absname IF extension = 'vmdk' AND (substri(dfspath.absname, '<search path1>')=1 OR substri(dfspath.absname, '<search path2>')=1) Is there a way to read in the list of search paths from a CSV file rather than hard-coding them into the report. I tried using the IN FILE expression but this looks for a exact match of the pathnames whereas we are search for files below these paths. Alternatively, does DQL support wild characters such as '*' or '%' Any advice is much appreciated as always. Phil1.3KViews0likes1CommentDQL report assistance
