B2V Restore Issue
Hello Guys, I am having a problem trying to restore a Full backup set from a VM with an agent onto an EXSI host. Below are the steps that I have done and I will also be including the screen shots of the job selection, backup options, and error message that I am getting below. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Things I have done so far. 1. Inventory and Catalog the tape. 2. Made sure what I want to restore is on those tape. 3. Select Convert to Virtual from a Point in Time 4. Select the appropriate backup options and attempt to run the job.
does SR 2013 R2 support recovery to different hardware for windows 2003?
hi there, in summary, my only question is this: does "symantec system recovery 2013 r2" support the recovery to different hardware for windows 2003 r2 machines? please read the details to understand why i'm asking. thank you! i'm completely new to "system recovery 2013 r2", and i'm attempting to evaluate its use in restoring windows servers to different hardware. my first test case is using windows 2003 r2. i spoke yesterday with a sales engineer, and he said i would need to install the server version of sr 2013 r2 on the source machine, and then create the sr boot disk. i went to install sr, and got the following warning: "This system does not meet the requirements to install the Symantec System Recovery Disk creation utility. The recovery disk creation utility feature is supported on Windows 2008 (and later) and Windows 7 (and later). Note: Symantec does not ship the recovery disk with System Recorery 2013 R2 and hence includes a utility in the installer to create a recovery environment." the sales documentation and the compatibilty list on the symantec website specifically lists windows 2003 r2 as supported, and the engineer i spoke with yesterday also said that it would work. so i went to look for the downloadable .iso instead, but i found a tech article (http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH225888) that specifically states that downloadable iso's are no longer provided. any guidance would be appreciated. --aaron
Restore Failed (Looping restart)
When Restore image windows server 2003 (32bit and 64 bit) or 2008 by symantec system recovery 2013 sp2 during restore show up 2 messages about 2 drivers Netwok and storage after finish the continuously restarting I tried these solutions from symantec when create case : 1- Load valid drivers from hardware vendor page and convert that fils in to .inf format and then load in SRD. 2- Create custom SRD from machine 3- During restore bring up hidden option In the hidden option check only "Delete Existing drivers and remaining option should be unchecked.During restore bring up hidden option but every methods above didn't help me ! Note : I tried restore images for other sites and restore completely 100% without any problem but in this site have a problem i dont know why !!!
Symantec Recovery Server 2013
I have been going crazy on this one. I am doing a Restore anywhere from a Dell Raid Server over to a Desktop. When it restores and starts to ask for driver I keep getting asked for the Western Digial Disk driver. There are no drivers. I have even changed thr PC and added a Sata Controller and I am still getting the same thing. I have tried deleting all the drivers, running Windows Serup and still the same thing. Has anyone else seen this error and if so what is the work around??? Thank you.SSR 2013 BSOD When using restore anywhere on HP 8470p
I'm trying to use the restore anywhere function in SSR 2013 to recover my hard drive from an HP 8000 desktop to a HP 8470p laptop. The recovery seems to complete but when Windows boots up it crashes and loops with the following error code Stop: 0x000000BE (0x80504638,0x00504163,0xB9CEF400,0x0000000B) I can restore the image to an HP 6930p, 8440p, and 8460p with no problems at all! I have also tried all options in the restore anywhere feature. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.restauration SDR sbs2011
Bonjour, je souhaiterai restaurer un serveur SBS2011 sur un autre serveur. à la fin de la restauration j'ai ce message d'avertissement: Erreur de boucles inconnue 0xe0000352. pendant la restauration du systemstate ça c'est quand je choisi de restaurer à partir d'un disque local si je restaure à partir du réseau en me connectant au serveur BE2012 a partir du SDR et bien le travail se termine avec une erreur de l'agent et le serveur me dit que la restauration est terminée.... dans le log en pièce joint j'ai pas mal d'erreur Merci pour votre aide Rémy
