Restore OpsCenter on different hostname
Hello, had issue and OpsCenter and support was not able to replicate issues so they asked for backup copy of database. But they were able to restore it but not able to connect it. Login screen had this error message:Error occurred while connecting to the OpsCenter Server. Please ensure that the server is running. I found that you have to update variable string to current hostname. File nameINSTALL_PATH\OpsCenter\server\config\security.conf Any feedback is welcome Filip Hasa Example: $ hostname FQDN.some.where $ type INSTALL_PATH\OpsCenter\server\config\security.conf #Last Updated on #Mon Oct 07 12:09:07 CEST 2019 vxss.initialized=true vxss.authbrokerportnumber=-1 vxss.authbrokerHostname=FQDN.some.where vxss.isEAT=true vxss.installationType=1932Views0likes0CommentsOpsCenter Restore Error 92
I am running OpsCenter 7.6.1.2 on a Windows server. My environments is all Windows servers with NetBackup 7.6.1.2 Media and master servers. I am trying to do a restore using the OpsCenter Search feature, but everytime I initialize a restore it fails with an error 92 "media manager detected image that was not in tar format". I can search and find the files with no issues as well as add the files to my Restore Cart and start the restore.I can restore the file with no issues using the NetBackup restore tool from the master server. And just FYI, I need the OpsCenter Restore Search screen to work because I am giving our help desk the ability to do basic restores. Policy will not allow the java client be used by them. OpsCenter is the only approved interface for them but the Search tab needs to work for the restores for them. Just more FYI. The users are set up with a Restore Only view into OpsCenter (although the same error occours trying to restore from the admin account of OpsCenter). Our target for backups, and obviously restores, are a pair of DataDomains, which we have zero issues with.1.7KViews1like7CommentsMigrating from 32 to 64 bits - Need help to migrate opscenter.
Hi guys. I am currently running Opscenter 7.5.0.6 under windows 2003 sp2 standard edition, wich if course it´s 32 bits, and now facing the migration to 7.6, I am rebuilding some servers, and this one is among them. As far as I understand, the correct migration sequence would be to upgrade first opscenter, them master, and then media. I am building a 2012 windows server, but would like to keep all the data and queries I have in my old server. Do I need to do a backup and then restore some folders, just copy paste, or am I doomed and have to recreate averything manually? Thanks in advance.Solved1.1KViews1like4CommentsExchange 2010 DAG Restore

Hi, I have a customer that have a problem with oracle clone feature in OPSCenter. Netbackup and OPSCenter version 7.6.0.1 Issue: Oracle clone using opscenter failes with "Lanch Clone failed". This is what I can see: Selecting Oracle DB using a time frame to search for time and date works ok. Opscenter listes out several backup sets. I can select from control file or backup piece. Problem1: Selecting one control file for some reason automatically selects several backup piece and several control files. Runing thru the pre check every thing is ok. But restore fails. In this senario I can see that aprox 1600 log files are to be restored. The fact selecting one control file auto selects several control files and backup piece is this by design or is it a bug? Selecting the control file gives me option to restore to different location Problem2: Selection only one backup piece is ok. But now I cannot do a redirect on the DB files, but I can on control file and log file. Any one seen this issue?Solved1.3KViews0likes9CommentsTurn off RESTORE logging in OpsCenter - how to?
Hi I wish to turn off logging of restores in OpsCenter is there a method to do this? Currently it appears that all reporting of restores of individual files is visible to the public. This information I would prefer not to be public for security reasons.522Views2likes2CommentsA report telling me which retention of media was used for a restore.
This is a long shot, but I want to try and evaluate the usefulness of our longer term backups in other words : wherever we have done a restore I wish to know which retention of media were used. If you can assist me in obtaining this information I would be most grateful. I'm running 7601 anayltics. Equally if you happen to know its not possible, then knowing that will save me time and effort looking. Thanks in advance,Jim631Views0likes5CommentsOpsCenter Restore files not shown
Hi, I have a strange problem with OpsCenter 7.6.0.1 restore function, when using the browse option a directory listing is not showing the contents, I can see the full directory and files if I use the Java GUI and I can also use the OpsCenter restore search option to locate a file within the missing directory listings. This may be due to some of the file names that the MAC application creates which start with ._ but unsure. I have attached a few screenshots in a doc to show the problems, I want to use the OC restore as I have a user that looks after the restore and it is easier to use the OC for this with selected views, also I cannot locate a MAC client for the Java GUI :-) Kev1.6KViews0likes13CommentsSaving Opscenter log to different disk
