Can somebody from SYMC tell us why this isn't supported (is it a MirrorView limitation?), and possibly give a timeframe when it will be? IHAC that is constantly adding/changing LUNs in their replication schema, and this requires us to go in and change the MirrorView resource(s) associated with these changes. This question has been asked before (https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/veritas-cluster-server-agent-emc-mirrorview) and closed, but without any solution other than "maybe you should run in async mode". Hi, I have to present a powerpoint presentaion to the high level exec in my company regarding High Availability (Zero Datat Loss/Zero Down Time) and was wondering if anyone has a presentation that I can refer to and use as a reference. This needs to be high level and does not need to get to the technology details..... Thanks, RaySolved619Views0likes1CommentCan a VCS 5.0 or 5.1 Cluster be included in a VCSone Config
Can a VCS 5.0 Cluster be included in a VCSone Config I have not fond any answer to a, in my oppinion, very common customer situation. If a customer has VCS (SFHA) Cluster and wants to use VCSOne for another part of his infrastructure (in my case VMware ESX environment), is it possible to include standard VCS 5.0 (or 5.1) Cluster in the Policy Master Configuration. We do not want to change/update the VCS Cluster to VCSone. In the simulator there is a resource called VCSencap. Is this what i need? On a Vision 2008 Roadmap there were serveral interesting plans for VCSone and VCS Integration: VCS Encapsulation (VCSone Cypress 2008) Full Management Console with VCS 5.0 support (VCSone Spyglass 2010) Customer plans the following configuration VCSone (new): Web-Tier on VMware ESX App-Tier on VMWare ESX VCS (existing): Database Tier (already on VCS, SFHA) Can this configuration be built on the policy master? Can a Service Group Dependency be bulit from VCSone SGs to VCS SGs? Is there a plan for merging these two products? When? How will the merge be done (upgrade, deinstall/install, ...)? kind regards JochenSolved733Views0likes2CommentsVCS new volume created. Hi all, We are running Storage Foundation HA for Windows 5.1 and are experiencing some problems. Does anybody like to share his/her experience with me on the subject? stabilityof the clusters, Management, infrastructural problems, organisational issues, the works. Our Infrastructure:7, two node clusters (SF HA for windows 5.1 SP1) with SQL 2005 installed. Each cluster has about 10 instances with roughly 10 databases each. Using SVC we connect to an IBM SANtotaling app. 2 Tb of data. Both nodes are placedas DR with a distance between the nodes of about 30 km. If residing in the Netherlands (or nearby) we might even meet !! IvoSolved776Views0likes3Comments
