NBU Version:- 7.6.0.1 Its a Single Master and Media Server OS: Solaris Currently we have attached a DAS boxdirectly to our media serverof 45 TB and its configured as multiple basic disk storage units for backup Now we are planning to go with deduplication disk (either MSDP or Puredisk) 1. Want to know any possiable way to convert the existing backups from basic disk to deduplication disk (MSDP or PureDisk) 2. netbackup remote java console on windows server 2012
I'm trying to connect another master server(windows 2012) from windows 2012 server using netbackup java console, I'm able to login with credentials however its just showing BAR gui of maste server. I have added the server name in master servers as additional server. child job is not trigerring for disk backups.
Hi, parent job shows running state but child job is not started last for long time. Other clients are getting sucessful for same policy and these are disk backups. master and client versions are same and communication is goog. Hi All, Customer has a critical application configured on IBM P Series Platform. Support matrix does not support this platform i.e. Linux on IBM Power PC. None of the NetBackup version even to the latest one are getting installed giving error incorrect platform. uname -a Linux Hostname 3.10.0-229.ael7b.ppc64le #1 SMP Fri Jan 30 12:03:50 EST 2015 ppc64le ppc64le ppc64le GNU/Linux cat /etc/redhat-release Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.1 (Maipo) Not sure why IBM and Symantec have not worked together to support P series Platform. Is there any roadmap or future for this support. Is there any workaround to install the client on this platform.
