Forward Traffic from VCS virtual IP
Hello Experts, We have a two node active-passive VCS 6.0 cluster running in Solaris LDOM on T4-1 servers. Two virtual interfaces (Vnet0 and Vnet1)are configured from the control domain using igb2/igb4. vnet0 and vnet1 using solaris ipmp. The cluster IP is configured as a virtual IP on top of vnet0 as its comes online as vnet0:1. Out external connectivity must happen only from Cluster virtual IP on vnet01:1, but the network team informed that no traffic coming from cluster vitual IP. The firewall only receives the packets from the host IP which was configured on vnet0. Can anyone tell me , how to configure the VCS to forward the traffic from cluster IP to only a particular destination. We have configured the resources using MutliNICB/IPMultiNICB. Need help in Nic resource fault
We are experiencing below mentioned faults every now and then that affects our backup. setup is like we have BkupLan service group in which we have NIC resource (bkup_nic) and Phantom resource . Two service groups OSSfs and sybase1 have proxy resource monitoring this NIC resource. and both are configured with Ip resources Ossbak_ip1 and sybbak_ip1. The issue is Nic resource failed with below message and in turn proxy and ip resources failed. Then NIC comes back and proxy and ip come back too. Veritas Cluster 5.1 for Windows - How many NICs should I have...
Hello, Our company would like to build a two node cluster in an active/passive. OS: Windows 2003 32-bit Clustering software: Symantec Veritas Cluster 5.1 for Windows SAN: HP MSA 2000 for SAS Utilizing Windows 2003 and MSA as the SAN. Cluster software will be Symantec Veritas Cluster 5.1 for Windows Database software: SQL Server 2005 Number of Instance: 1 I would like to have some idea first on the networking side, I have read the Installation guide as well as the VCS and SQL guide, however I cannot picture out the difference between private and public. Monitor Application w/in Solaris Zone - but not failover zone
Hello everyone - I actually have two questions. The first centers around installing VCS in Solaris 10 u8 global zone - but only monitoring applications within a non-global zone. (ie: Apache). The zone-root is installed on local storage and the application is also installed on local storage. We only want to have the apache application shut down and started up on the other node. How would we do this? Every resource dependency example i see shows DG, Mount, etc. The second question is can VCS be installed within a sparse non-global zone? VCS new volume created. Need to add up under existing Resource Group under 2 node clustered Solaris 10 Server...Important..please assist
Hi, I am newbi to VCS. OS is Solaris10. Two node cluster env. New filesystem already created and mounted with dedicated Vertual IP and is already under VCS. We have added two more Vol's (Vol03 & Vol04) in the existing Resource Group say 'node1_rg' Guys, please help me out to know the sequential and step by step procedure with commands to take the newly created Volumes under existing Resource Group......and how to carry out the Failover Test. this is a test server on which we need to do the task. Oracle Database is also there and we can coordinate with App & DBA team to do this activity...... Pleaseeeeeeee help. this is first time I had been to this forum seeking the help...
