DLO 8.0 Configure IO
Hey guys, I've installed DLO 8.0 on a fresh MSW2008R2, configured the Storage Location and the Edge Server, but when i try to configure the IO Server i'm getting this: All the ports are opened and the firewall is turned off. The IP is local. I've check the DLO manual and nothing. Any ideea ?
Symantec DLO
Hi, Just I want to know that One is customer who have 30 Desktop & laptop computer in their orginzationn,But IT person want to use Symantec Dlo for backup purpose,But there is one problem each computer is not member of Domain. What I want ,is there is any way, where go and give domain credential to my computer ,with help of that, Workgroup computer can also use Symantec Dlo for backup... if possible please let me know.. Desktop Laptop and Option (DLO)
good afternoon dear, I have a problem with Desktop and Laptop Option 7.5 V, which enter the profiles as shown in the image. when I go to the Global tab to exclude exclude all file extensions as * .mp3, * jpg, * avi, etc. but when I go to profile MKT, and I add files with extensions * jpg, * avi. I give and accept to save the changes I get this message that all changes are saved in the profiles as shown in the picture, you only bring about change in the MKT profile, which is what is required. thank you for your help.
Symantec Backup Exec 2010 (DLO) unable to connect the DC (AD server)
Hi, We have the following infar:- 1, Symantec BE 2010 with DLO on Windows 2003 Std. server. 2. DC is not in the same network rather in the different geographical location. There is only one OU and a ADC is there in the customer premissis which have the permission to only change the specific OU. A specific user is alotted to do this jobs. This user is not the admin user rather have the authentication to change the OU user and computers. 3. This DLO is not the current DLO version we have now, rather it was the old DLO which is intragated with BE 2010. 4. User are having Win XP and Win 7 system. 5. A specific folder is taken backup from all the user system. 6. All user are in the same network as the DLO server. Issue:- 1. When adding the domain user for admin rights and others it was giving some problem. so I need to create a user under the OU and make that the local administartor of the DLO server. (i.e BE 2010 server). 2. When logging with this OU admin in the DLO server, I was unable to see the alerts of the DLO. But when logging with the local Administrator I ca see all alerts. (OU admin is in the local administrators group). 3. The DLO agent in the clients system gets disabled. All the troublshooting (registry edit, user share folder permission , etc) were tried. lastly we need to delete the computer from the DLO console (ultimately delete the user data from that system) and after re-logging of the user the agent were all enabled. 4. Adding a ned DLO client user also give the error " can not connect the Domain..." where I can see the user wjile adding. I need to disable the authentication check from the registry of the DLO server. Thanks.
How to migrate the Symantec DLO 7.5 SP1 to a new server with different IP and Host Name.
Hi, Actually i have migrated the Symantec DLO 7.5 SP1 to a new server with different IP and Host Name, by restoring the DLO.mdf and DLO.ldf data files but after migration, the clients are not able to communicate with the new server. And after troubleshooting I found the DBServer name on clients in the registry was remain same(Old Server Host Name). If we change the DBServer Name then the Backup runs on Windows XP, but On Windows 7 machine its not working thereafter client get disabled after changing the DBServer Name in registry. So Please help me to get out of it. Is there any other way to migrate the SDLO 7.5 SP1. Thanks, Ashish Agrawal ACPL Systems Pvt. Ltd.
