Pre Job - The system cannot find the path specified.
Hello, OS: Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, Backup Exec: 2010 R3 (up to date) Simple Backup Job, which one is saving just remote files. Pre <d:\scripte\server_down.bat> Post <d:\scripte\server_up.bat> Both scripts running, if I start them manually. All I found was: TECH90733 - "A backup configured to use a batch file in a Pre/Post command does not execute the batch file" but the service is still running as Local System Account Anyone some idea? Hi all, I need your help, my manager Netbackup on a Windows 2008 operating system and Netbackup 7. We have an integration with RMAN but when I run the backup sguente send us the error. The owner for Oracle engine is ORACLE and the NetBackup with another user named NetBackup, and integrate the same group of DBA but still sends me the same error. Errors Changing SQL Collation
We currently run Enterprise Vault 9.0.2 and are looking at upgrading to 9.0.3. For the last couple of upgrades we've been seing the 'mismatched collation' errors in the Deployment Scanner but have not had the opportunity to take the time out to resolve it and it has not prevented the upgrades. As I currently have a period of down-time due to an unrelated issue I have been trying to correct the SQL Collation errors prior to upgrading to 9.0.3 by following the usual technote: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH55063&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1329133685543. For most Databases this has been working fine but for a couple of databases some unusual errors have been thrown up. I'll need to retry following a restore on the Audit and Directory databases but I have the errorlog from one of the Vault Store DB's. I followed the process of copying the first part of the programmability script and executed that, then ran the change_collation.sql (We're using SQL 2005) in report mode and it came back operation successful. After clearing down the TempDB tables I then executed the script in normal mode and after running for just under an hour it completed with the error: Msg 547, Level 16, State 0, Line 1 The ALTER TABLE statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_SavesetIdentity_SavesetProperty". The conflict occurred in database "EVExchangeArchiveStore1", table "dbo.Saveset", column 'SavesetIdentity'. I now don't know if the whole script completed or whether it has stopped after the error during the -- CREATE FK CONSTRAINTS section of the script. Has anyone seen this issue before? The script seems to be running fine against the other Vault Store DB's. I'm going to try and re-run the script again tomorrow following a DB Restore but would appreciate any advice or comments on what could have caused this. Thanks Craig

NBU Command - Check backup jobs on Master server
Hello Got a query on an issue I am facing. I am running backup commands from a client (Linux) which will initiate a snapshot. Configuring or getting dbclient log name
Hi, I'm trying to automate SqlServer Backups by executing from control-m, which is a 3rd party schedule software. To do this, I have created a .bat file that call the Netbackup exec file (dbbackex.exe). Or is it possible to configure de path and logfile name? Other posibility I'm thinking of is manage error codes on my own, but I would need Error code list and cannot find it. VBA: Extracting mail attachements from archived mails
Like many others, i had a problem extracting attachement from archived mail items. The name of the attachement is "@" instead of the actual file name. It was suggested in a particular mail to use the API, but you need EVAdmin to do so. (CreateObject("EnterpriseVault.ContentManagementAPI") failed) Another suggestion was to read the HTMLbody of the mail and search for the filename. After a little research, i found that, if you "Display" the mailitem, it will be accessible as any other mailitem, including the attachements. Netbackup 7.1.0.2 How do i eject tapes ??
Hi I have made a Script where i wanna eject some tapes. i am using this command. vmchange -res -multi_eject -w -verbose -rn 0 -rt tld -rh Server -ml OU1699 -sec 1 the -sec 1 part makes it not promt. This fails with an eject aborted. It seems that if i don't manually remove the tapes from the mailslot(i have 20 slots here) before i press OK on the promt, the eject gets aborted and the tapes get put back in place in the library ??, how does one eject tapes to the mailslot without having to manually remove them from the mailslot right away ??. I want tapes to eject at night, so i can pick them up in the morning. Right now i have to pick up the tapes when i eject them or else the tapes get put back inside the library.
