Backup Exec log files 38GB
We've had an issue with our server due to lack of free space. We've examined the contents of the drive and "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Logs\" is taking up 38GB of space. Can you tell me why it would take up this much space please? More importantly how do i cap it at say 10GB? We are using Backup Exec 2010 R3 on a windows 2007 sbs server. All our backups are backup to disk folders on removable drives and we backup also backup exchange and SQL. Thanks, your help is appreciated Thanks

Hi all, On the server application log, i encountered such an event which i couldn't find much info as to why and how to resolve this. Adamm Database Event: Database Connection Lost! What is in the BFK files
Hello everyone, We use backup Exec 2010 for backingup from 4 servers. Last night an differential job, using modified time ran. When I checked the status of the backup this morning, I came to the conclusion that the size of the created bkf file whas 5GB. This should be a lot more. Can someone explain how to check the data inside the BKF files? I'm really curious about the data that is backupped and what is not. Thanks in advance!

SQL 2008 R2 backup keeps failing with error code :e000ff19
We have a Windows 2008 R2 environment , the Backup Exec 2010 R2 server is installed on a separate server. We are using HP 1/8 G2 Autoloader tape library. The backup jobs are running fine for AD - system state ; Exchange 2010 SP1 DAG and system state. When I choose to select the passive SQL node for system state, it works fine as well. But it wont let me choose the active node. And when I select the Cluster database name, the backup job fails with the error code :e000ff19. The configuration is equal to the other SQL jobs. Does anyone know when Symantec Backup Exec.cloud will be available in Austria and under what pricing? Also, does anyone know the location of the servers where our data would be stored (Europe? US?)? Finally, does anyone know how private, safe, and secure our data would be (Would the CIA, the FBI, or similar companies have access to our data?)? Any input is appreciated, thank you in advance.

Snapshot technology used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS). V-79-10000-11233 - VSS Snapshot error. A Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) snapshot is already running on the target computer. Only one snapshot can run at a time. Try running the job later. No other backups are running nothing is using the VSS writers. I check wiht vssadmin list writers they are fine and I'll reboot the server run backup still have this issue. Any ideas?
