Error 87 after DD OS Upgrade
EMC Data Domain Firmware 5.2 Version is EOSL ( End of Support Life ) by Dec 2015and EMC provided upgrade pack to 5.4. We have perfromed the Firmware Upgrade in Data Domain. Firmware Upgraded successfully and initiated backup to check the same. We found all the backup failed with Status 87. Opened a call with EMC and EMC suggested to upgrade the OST plugin in the Master/Media server's from2.3.3.4-266049 to3.0.1.0-451885. After which Backup completed successfully.
Unable Access Second Partition After Formatting Primary Partition
I recently had fully encrypted hard disk (Toshiba mq01abd075), operating system (Windows 7 Professional), two partition. C (146 GB) and D (548 GB) and 4 GB Unallocated space. I ran the system restore for partition C, after which I was unable to access the operating system. I reinstalled the operating system partition C. I installed PGP WDE, when I entered in the program, partition D does not appear to be decrypted. Partition D appears in My Computer (0 bytes), in computer management at disk management appear 548 GB RAW. If I double click on it ask me for Format, but i've never click Yes, so the second partition was never touch after the problem.After this I reinstalled twice the OS. Now I have windows 8.1 but stil,but still I have not touch the second partition. I've tried to decrypt the drive with a few tutorials such as(WinPE and put the hard disk as second partition): http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH170574 http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH149478 Give me various errors suchs as: "Could not locate valid BGFS record. Recovey failed! Operation recover disk failed: Error code -11984 item not found" or "Disk 1 is not instrumented by bootguard" and others. I know was my fault. Please give me a solution. Queued backups to OST devices.
I have recently upgraded Backup Exec from 2010 to 2014 and use two ExaGrid devices for deduplication and replication. I currently have 5 OST devices on the local Exagrid device for local backup sets and 5 OST devices on the remote ExaGrid device for replication. After the upgrade only one active job will run to an OST device no matter how many concurrent connections I have set for the devices. The rest of the jobs list a status of "Active:Queued". Even the duplicate jobs that track the repliction between ExaGrid devices will stop any other backup job from running forcing the backups way outside of the backup window. Has anyone else incountered this or have suggestions on how to correct this job queuingissue?HP StoreOnce OST Plug in for NetBackup on Windows/Linux/Solaris & HPUX

Hello, I wanted to get some moreinformationregarding OST. Here is the hardware layout we have planned. Server1 - CAS only to manage from Server2 - Media Server1 Server3 - Media Server2 My question.. Q:Do we need to purchase OST storage devices if we want to copy deduplicated data from Media Server1 toMedia Server2over the network? If not is their an advantage? Thanks, Dominic
