Cannot report on a particular master server
OpsCenter Version: 7.5.0.7 OS: Windows 2003 NBU Master Version 6.5.5 Key details - The master server is displayed on the main Monitor screen as connected - The master server does not appear in the data collection screen - The master server does appear in the Agent screen (I have deleted/re-added the agent successfully) - I am able to drill down into the master server jobs, drives, media summary, etc from the monitor screen - I am unable to remove the master as it does not appear in the list to remove - I am unable to re-add the master because it already exists - It does not have any aliases - I have re-installed the agent on the master server, restarted all services (NBU & OpsCenter) - I am a security administrator in OpsCenter The master server is setup identically to all the other master servers in our environment and only this master is affected. Has anyone come across this issue before? Any assistance would be appreciated.
Unable Access Second Partition After Formatting Primary Partition
I recently had fully encrypted hard disk (Toshiba mq01abd075), operating system (Windows 7 Professional), two partition. C (146 GB) and D (548 GB) and 4 GB Unallocated space. I ran the system restore for partition C, after which I was unable to access the operating system. I reinstalled the operating system partition C. I installed PGP WDE, when I entered in the program, partition D does not appear to be decrypted. Partition D appears in My Computer (0 bytes), in computer management at disk management appear 548 GB RAW. If I double click on it ask me for Format, but i've never click Yes, so the second partition was never touch after the problem.After this I reinstalled twice the OS. Now I have windows 8.1 but stil,but still I have not touch the second partition. I've tried to decrypt the drive with a few tutorials such as(WinPE and put the hard disk as second partition): http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH170574 http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH149478 Give me various errors suchs as: "Could not locate valid BGFS record. Recovey failed! Operation recover disk failed: Error code -11984 item not found" or "Disk 1 is not instrumented by bootguard" and others. I know was my fault. Please give me a solution. SEP Version 11-0-7000-0_x64 (aktualisiert den Status nie)
Hi Leute, ich habe folgendes Problem. Der Status der SEP (Client) aktualisiert sich nicht mehr automatisch, obwohl ich regelmäßig das Live Update manuell ausführe und ebefalls Systemchecks durchführe. Der Status bleibt immer bei old virus definition :-( Beispielbild, wie es sein sollte: Was kann ich tun, hat jemand eine Idee? Danke im Voraus. Bg
Ghost64.exe 11.5.1.2266 hangs
Running windows 7 64x enterprise system. Loading Ghost64.exe ver 11.5.1.2266 hangs when loaded. Running on an HP 8440W. This used to work on a Dell E6400. Called symantec tech support and they blow. They said that this is the latest version 11.5.1.2266. Found another post saying that you need to contact tech support to get version 11.5.1.2269... Whatever. If anyone has any clue or patch or update let me know. I had another co-woker try the same thing on an HP 8460W and it also hung up for him. Symantec you figure it out.
Incompatible browser problem with symantec
I have IE8 and when I tried to get into Facebook, I got an error as follows: You are using an incompatible web browser. Sorry, we're not cool enough to support your browser. Please keep it real with one of the following browsers: Mozilla Firefox Google Chrome Safari Microsoft Internet Explorer I've tried everything I can think of and from info found on web searches to fix it. I even uninstalled IE8 which left me with IE7 (what I had before) and it still doesn't work. I installed Firefox and ditto the problem. I've since heard that it's a combination of Symantec and IE8 causing the problem. I've just had my PC competely rebuilt and got symantec, etc re-installed. Why is this happening? Is it really Symantec and if so, what can be done. I'm at a loss. Help, please.Windows 98 Clone
I need to make a clone of a hard drive with a Windows 98 OS. My plan is to clone to an external hard drive. Is there a Symantec program that will do such a thing? Also, I'm a little naive about cloning. Once I clone, will I be able to operate programs on the external hard drive independently of the original HD?
