Hello, I have a 2008 server with sp2 X64. Have installed the backup exec 2010 in trial mode. Tape device is a HP DLT 448 ultrium. I have tried installed different drivers and i have got it to be listed under devices but under media the tape icon has a red mark over it. is there any problem with symantec tape drivers on x64 2008? After Reboot the system drops the tape and then suddenly it can find it again. Best regards John Vånemo821Views1like5CommentsBE 2010 AVVI ESXConsole.vmdk vsphere
I have BE 2010 installed and can backup vms from a SANvmfs but, cannot "see" the virtualized console on the local drives of the ESX server. With vSphere the ESX linux based OS is now virtualized as a vmdk file (that is /var / /home /etc ....etc...). In the past I've used the RALUS agent on ESX 3.5. How does it work on BE2010 w/ vSphere? I temporarily allowed all inbound ports open thinking maybe firewall and also am using the root account. Anyone have an idea? hi!Iwould like to find out what's the different between backupexec 2010 and the latest backupexec system recovery svr edition? Is this backupexec system recovery part of BackupExec 2010? What's it different from the IDR in BackupExec? How does this 2 software work together to provide a system backup and recover solution? Can it backup to a NAS? For the system recovery part, is there any different between Netbackup and these? Will there be any differential or differential or full backup in BackupExec System Recovery server edition? How do there recover ms sql database in the System Recovery Server edition in this case? Thanks.239Views0likes0Comments
