I'm trying to setup Vault.Cloud on Microsoft Exchange 2010 with Outlook 2010 clients. I have created a journaling contact and also an SMTP Send Connector. I then activated Journaling on our exchange server mailbox database. I'm unsure of what to do next. Should our Outlook 2010 clients see a .cloud folder or do I have to do something else? Any help would be appreciated. Thank youSolved1.2KViews0likes1CommentOn-Prem. EV --> Enterprise Vault.Cloud Migration path
We are running EV 9.04 currently with on-prem Exchange (500 mailboxes). We are exploring moving to O-365, but I'm not impressed with the discovery and archive handling offerings from MS. We have over 2tb of data in our on-prem vault and if we do move to 0-365, I don't want to use two seperate systems for our archive/discovery needs if I don't have to. Is there a migration path from on-prem Vault, I haven't found any documentation on migrating data from on-prem EV to Vault.cloud. As we evaluate which solution would be better/most cost effective/easiest to manage. I'd like to hear from anyone who has gone through a on-prem --> Vault.cloud migration and how it went. Hello All, I read the EV.cloud product documentation, but some things are not clear for me. For my understanding EV.cloud has no direct access to Office 365, and just work with the functionality of a journaling mailbox at Symantec. But how work the mailbox archiving from technical view ? The mailbox content archiving must by run via the journaling mailbox, but what about the user mailbox handling in O365 ? With EV "non cloud" the Users get mailbox content shortcuts to the archive, and the original Mail did not reside into the original mailbox because it was archived. But how is it in EV.cloud from User perspective ? Is the content in O365 also archived, and if yes how does this work technical without direct access to the Office 365 cloud ? Or is ev.cloud just a "mail duplication" feature which could be accesed via outlook plugin or something like that ? I could not find these information or deeper technical information via the symantec website, does anybody have more information which could satifie my questions ? Thanks ! Dear all, I am testing ev.cloud and I cannot get it to respond to my disabled or removed users from office 365. The office 365 user is a pure user and not linked to any active directory so a simple test really. When I run "run sync now" in Ev.cloud archive adminit sees that there is 1 less user but it does not automatically flag it as disabled in the Archive Admin - Accounts. the user is still there and active. Any pointers would be great! thanks ibgman.981Views0likes1CommentEnterprise Vault.Cloud User Permissions
We are new to this service. Is it possible to give a user permissions to just one mail archive that is not their own? For example, an employee leaves and his supervisor would like access to his archived email. We don't want to open up everyone's archive. Can this be done?Solved1.5KViews0likes2Comments
