What's with buying online storage?!
I was planning on buying more online storage, so I put the.. Norton Online Backup 100GBhttp://buy.norton.com/estore/productsDetailsMoreInfo/productSkuCode/21032532/tppc/9e2209ee4e82c4234f2d25a34b7192c1/asoociationType/0/parentCartId/0/slotNo/-1 ... in the cart (which is only $29.99). Then, I went back in my norton backup, and it said I didn't have enough storage so one of the options took me to this page:http://us.norton.com/buy-more-storage/promoHow come only 5GB ($29.99) is as much as the online storage costs thats 100GB? If I buy the 100GB Online backup, would I not be able to transfer that amount of storage to my account? If I can, then how come the storage promo costs a lot more?.. Are they trying to rip me off or something? Please help soon, I'm greatly puzzled by this.2.2KViews0likes0Commentson-line back-up
I am looking for online backup for my 1TB of data (photographs andrecordings)on external hard drives connected to my laptop, plus program files off the laptop. My partner uses Roxio for his desktop with exchangeable drives, but Roxio won't do external drives. Someone else suggested Ghost, but I do not understand the terminology used in any of the blurbs, and it all sounds far too much for my needs. Any suggestions? sensible pricing is also important! Thanks.1.3KViews0likes2CommentsAutomated Synchronization of Lab Computers
I know how to manually build and deploy an image using Ghost to a lab of computers but I want to remove the manual part. I want to dedicate 1 computer as a "Master". Subordinate computers can poll the Master at set intervals and determine how to "synchronize" themselves to it, minus the obvious name, Ip, etc issues. Best case would not involve a full image pull, but only the items out of sync. Update the Master and the subordinates will follow next time they poll it. Can a Symantec product do this? If not is there a reasonably priced product that can? Thanks for the info!799Views0likes0Comments
