EV Client Reset for MAC book
Hi All, We are facing issue while accessing archived mails which contains attachment in Mac book using outlook 2011. When we face similar issue in windows, we used to reset EVclient on windows machine. In Macbook, how can we reset EV client and access archived mail with attachement without any issue. Hello all, I am upgrading indexes using EV10SP4CHF2. In one region, I get many 28998 errors (Retrieval of a saveset failed) The error is: Retrieval of a saveset failed. Reason: The system cannot find the path specified. (0x80070003) Saveset Id: 138000000000000~200002162158210000~0~E103DD990AB34D6E9046124089DF499 Vault Id: 166B4569EA834794C965D8AAE9B5421BC1110000VAULTOC Index Sequence Number: 10195 Internal Reference: Fetching Saveset for indexing Is it possible to find the location on disk for this item? I can then check if the item does exists, and if not, check to see if it is still available in a backu somewhere. Anyone having a SQL query possible of the above? Thanks. Problem with PST import in Enterprise Vault
Hi There I am trying to import a PST into our Enterprise Vault (10.0.3) and it is failing every time. Hello all, I am struggling with an issue with EV-client on Citrix. The Citrix setup is not completely known to me, but additional information I can get my hands on. The citrix server is W2008R2, the applications are published. What is published is only Office (2010, Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook), and Adobe Reader. Not Internet Explorer, IE is installed on the system. The EV-client is 9.0.3.1221 The plug-in is installed properly. When opening an archived item, I get prompted for a username and password. When entering, the item is opened fine. The problem I have I need a solution for is that if in the Enterprise Vault tab I click on Archive Explorer or the Search Vaults button, I get a blank page. When I create in the inbox a folder, and set the homepage for that folder to the Archive Explorer ui, I get the archive explorer, same for the search-page. REMOVED FOR SECURITY REASON Attached a client-logfile.REMOVED FOR SECURITY REASON The Citrix Admin has entered the aliasses and hostnames in the trusted sites on the citrix-server for the users. Does anyone have an idea what can be done/checked/tried to get the Archive Explorer and Search Safe page working. The password prompt we will work on later. Storage Crawler consuming high CPU
I have a customer who has EV 10.0.2 & he faced issue withstorageas diskwas full few weeks back so he stopped indexing, arranged for a new disk and when he tried to start the service again, he got error "Service cannot be started", now we've got the issue resolved after reinstalling indexing modules howeverthe new disk is gettingfull very soon. Heenlarged the drive of the temp folder but it is eating up a lot of space. He hasnow enlarged it to 200 Gb which is now almost full with temp files within 2 days. The storage crawler meanwhile is taking up 53 % of total CPU time. And it is generating error messages in the event log: StorageCrawler FetchAheadThread thread [ThreadId: 8576] have been forcefully terminated. Enterprise Vault User permissions
Hi, Does anybody know of a script or tool which can run through each archive and export permissions to a csv/txt/xls file? For e.g. three users have access to an archive. I can see this in the VAC by opening the properties of the archive and clicking the Permissions tab. Symantec Enterprise Vault Add-in
Just a helpful FYI that I found. I am running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit with Office 2013 installed. I installed Office 2010 then upgraded to make another program work, but I noticed that my Enterprise Vault add-in was not showing in my outlook. After trolling the forums, I found a few references to Valkyrie.dll. I searched my C: drive for that particular .dll file and found many results, but only 1 with that exact name. If you run that file using c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe it will register that .dll file. You will see all of the results disappear from the search and when you restart outlook, the add-in will be there and be working correctly. Hope this helps.Solved3.8KViews1like8Comments

Hello, Has anyone ever configured an EV Domino Gateway on a server that is already running Enterprise Vault? To clarify the situation: I have existing EV solution for FSA and Exchange mailbox/journal archiving I now want to add Domino mailbox and journal archiving to the existing EV environment I want to configure one of the existing EV servers as the EV Domino Gateway The Symantec documentation states the following: "On the computer that will host the Enterprise Vault Domino Gateway, do the following: Install Domino server binaries and configure the Domino server Install Lotus Notes client binaries and hotfix, and configure the client. Use the ID file that you want to use for Domino archiving. After you have completed these tasks, you can install Enterprise Vault and perform the initial configuration." I would like to avoid adding an additional server just for the EVDG or performing a re-install of one of the existing EV servers. The plan! Is it possible to do the following without breaking the existing EV server: Install the Domino server and client binaries as per the pre-requisites on the existing EV server Run the EV binaries again and add the EVDG components Configure Domino mailbox and journal archiving as per normal Thanks in advance.Solved2.5KViews5likes10Comments
