DLO agents prompting for password, 9.0 after upgrade
Hi I have upgraded DLO Server from 7.6 to 9.0. Upgrade happened smothly no errors. After upgrade all the old clients with agent version 7.0 & 7.6 are wotking fine. But one the client is upgraded to 9.0 or new client is installed problem starts. on the first launch of the DLO agent on client it prompts for user name & password, even though the user is present, pc is in domain, pc can access NUDF share. Hi We have several Macs in our company which are not connected to our domain. So, we use a local account on the Mac and then use a VPN client to connect to domain resources using a domain account. We have just recently upgraded a test DLO server to DLO 7.6 SP1 and want to now test the Mac agents. We successfully installed the agent on two Macs, but when we run the agent we get a dialog box with the below details: Please enter your password for the account below. The account will be used to connect to the Media Server. User Name: Password: O Save encrypted passwords used by DLO We are unable to change the User Name in the above dialog box as it it greyed out and has the local Mac account entered. Do you know how this can be changed so that we can enter a domain account and start backing up data using DLO? Hi, I wish to know if there are a way to change the credentials (user/password) that I used to install my symantec dlo server, When I installed, I used the default domain administrator, I want to change to an user like dloadmin with admin privilegies because the default domain administrator account is going to be disabled. I have the symantec dloconsole on a windows server 2012 std and I running the version of DLOSymantec_Desktop_and_Laptop_Option_80075a_64-bit I don't want to reinstall the clients one by one, I dont want to reinstall my windowsserver. hi i'm having an issue after upgrading to dlo8 agent. when i log into a laptop with a user that does not have a dlo account, i'm unable to select disable user without getting an error message saying "please enter correct password". if i press cancel, it goes away, until the next time i log in, it prompts me again for dlo credentials on dlo 7.6 agenti did not have this issue. anyone have any ideas how we can resolve this? Hey All, We are currently upgrading and switching servers from DLO3.01 to 8.0. Our process is to create the user on the new server and push the client using the wizard. I am getting a significant number of failures and some of them can be pushed using the .exe file and psexec but many of them are failing error 1603 "MSI (s) (B8:3C) [09:28:03:988]: Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Symantec DLO Desktop Agent. Product Version: 8.0.0.0. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Symantec Corporation. Installation success or error status: 1603." Is there an issue making such a big jump in upgrade? I tried to search but all I could find was upgrading from 6.0/6.5/7.5 to 8 nothing referencing updating from much older versions. hi, i'm planning on upgrading my sdlo 7.6 environment (server 2008) to version 8.0 here are my proposed steps: enable blackout window shutdown dlo server and take snapshot perform update from 7.6 to 8.0 remove blackout window test a few machines to ensure 7.6 agent can still backup without upgrading now my question is, if something was to go wrong, can i revert back to the snapshot without issues? example, when the blackout window gets removed, and computers start connecting and backing up, and we want to revert back, is this possible without data loss to those computers that just connected and backed up. thanks. Hi I have an issue where I'm trying to deploy the latest version of DLO to 2 computers from the DLO console. It deployed ok to the first computer but it's doing nothing on the 2nd computer and has been hung for the past 3 hours. Please see attached screenshots. Is it ok to end this in Task Manager or will this cause problems for the client or console? Also, if I try to close this window, I get the message in Closing window.jpg. Hello All, I have some questions about DLO to deploy it. - How can I make the installation of agent to be automatic for some groups in the Active Directory? - We have and old installation of DLO that came with BE 2010. We think to install the new 8.0 version in new platform. How can I migrate the old information that are in the old version? Are there a tool for this? - In the profile we backup the My Documents, but when the agent access to the My videos, My pictures and My music we see errors in the history with access denied.
